The “Strongly Approve” has fallen to a new low: 26%. Even the core believers are falling off the wagon!

The only way for Obama to recover now is to escalate his attack on Fox News, and define hate speech as any criticism of him.....yeah thats the ticket.

LOOK AT THE INDEPENDENT NUMBERS:

Fifty percent (50%) of Democrats Strongly Approve while 66% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove of his performance. Among those not affiliated with either major political party, 18% Strongly Approve and 42% Strongly Disapprove.

26% _strong_ approval.

Overall, though, is still under 50, which is also good news.

Gives you a bit more faith in humanity and your fellow American.

42% of independents strongly disapprove. Keep it up, 0, and you might even let the inept, bumbling DC Repubs back in the game.

Love this one: For the first time during Obama’s time in office, the Approval Index has been in negative double digits for seven straight days. Fifty percent (50%) of Democrats Strongly Approve while 66% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove of his performance. Among those not affiliated with either major political party, 18% Strongly Approve and 42% Strongly Disapprove.

(Please note no September nrs were reported by Rasmussen -- on the free side, at least -- that's why no September data point on the chart)

I believe blacks will be the last to "see the light" and jump ship - too many black racists that will stay true to the skin color.

The mushy middle seems to be leading the desertion.

Jobless claims rising “Above estimates” whatever that means, Obama clearly humming and hawing on Afghanistan and won't make a decision, the public getting more anxious about his socialistic takeover of the health care system, his wife looking like Marie Antoinette with all the parties and fiestas while the country suffers, ACORN, attacks on FoxNews, his staunchest supporters like David Lettermen being shown to be total degenerates, home prices falling again, gas prices up again with a collapsing dollar, the Nobel prize flap, shall I continue......2010 looks like 30+ seats lost for the Dems in the House and Harry Reid losing his seat, Obama is so magnificent isn't he. Our BET president.

Such tactics may work for a while, but they'll eventually lose steam. And if I may hazard a guess, they already have lost at least some of their effectiveness.

(In other words, the "law of diminishing returns" isn't confined to economic analysis!)

I’ve been saying for weeks now that he will lose more and more from the strongly approve ranks.

For example, I was a Bush follower till the end, but if polled, there would be no way I would say I “strongly approved” of the way he was handling things after the Harriet Meir affair. I found him to be a poor communicator and highly passive regarding immigration and dealing head on with the democrats.

He also lacked the leadership regarding the pending mortgage crisis. If he saw it coming, and couldn’t get anyone in Congress to do anything, he should have taken it to the people...

But, I would still be counted as “Approving” Bush.

Same will happen with Obama.

I look for -14 or -15 tomorrow.

African Americans may jump ship as you say, but let’s not think that more than a very slim minority will vote republican. But if they stay home come election day, depriving Obama of votes, that’s not all bad. Now, if only the dead Democrats would stay home, that would be even better.

Not to worry. I could easily tell you were being facetious, and I’ll bet the same is true for others reading this thread.

But even if it wasn’t your intention, I think you also made a very serious point. That’s because Axle-Rahmrod are likely to keep trying those Chicagoist thug tactics for at least a little while — maybe longer.

Most of these leftists support marxism and they know that strongarm tactics is the way to implement it.

I wont go on DU to see what the morons there are saying, but I did skim many of the comments of the online NYTimes readers about the article about cutting CEO pay, and they like it.

they clearly dont understand the implications of it, and still dont understand the role that the CRE and fanny and freddie played in causing the financial meltdown. They have bought into the obamunist propaganda.

Obama has done nothing to make America better. He just does nothing but make threats and destroy things.

He needs to be kicked out for treasonous incompetence and failure to keep his oath to defend and protect the Constitution.

It has gotten that bad. I shudder and cringe thinking that nothing will be left of this country in 3 more years.

>> if they stay home come election day <<

That’s the key point.

And it applies not only to black voters but probably even more to the “youth” vote:

Youngsters got all fired up about The Big Ø in 2008, but most of them could hardly care less about whether their congress-person, U. S. Senator or state governor is Dhimmi, ‘Pub, socialist, libertarian or whatever.

(And probably ditto for a large swath of the independent vote.)
