President Obama's policy of diplomatic engagement with Iran is close to collapse as Tehran backtracks on a crucial deal aimed at cutting its stockpiles of nuclear fuel.

Tehran's latest move comes straight from a well-thumbed Iranian playbook and looks like yet another stalling tactic to test the West's resolve and buy time to avert new sanctions.

No. We were supposed to believe there would be a different outcome with BO at the helm, even if it meant betraying Poland and the Czech Republic. BO & Co. look even more naive and gullible. I liked this comment:

“It’s like Groundhog Day,” a senior Western diplomat involved in the Iran negotiations said. “Except in Groundhog Day you wake up every day and everything’s the same. With this, you wake up every day and everything’s just a little bit worse

Ahmadinejhad knows that Obama (ptui!) is a coward and an appeaser, so it’s hardly a challenge for him to blow him off.

Punk-A-Rooney!

The great Obambi, from recent news accounts, intervened in these negotiations personally many times to get this supposed “deal.” He refrained from criticizing the regime at the time of the fraudulent elections because he wanted to preserve his “grand bargain.”

What a maroon. What a dope. The Iranians have taken the measure of this girly-man, and he's been found wanting.

Russia and China’s reluctance to consider new sanctions is forcing Washington to seek a coalition of willing allies to impose their own economic blockade on Iran if efforts to get UN sanctions fail.
"Willing allies"? We still have willing allies?

Either way makes a bad CIC and POTUS. He has not shown weakness before on this issue; in March, as well as his administration has gaffed Israel. So by process of elimination he may be taking sides and it is not Israel’s side.

The comedian Ron White said, “You can’t fix stupid.”

The General in New Orleans said, “Don’t get stuck on stupid.”

Both quotes apply to Obama.

I’m surprised that you would think anyone here would be surprised. I was getting rather disgusted with Bush’s approach to Iran, but this is turning into late 30’s era umbrella diplomacy...either that or the inevitable result of it.

Boy that Obama is one cool ivy league communist democrat dude who allows America's enemies to get stronger and stronger. So glad he got that Norwegian Peace Prize. That really impressed the Iranians to drop their nuclear ambitions. Wow, those globull left wingers are so smart. I'm so impressed. /s

This is above Barry’s paygrade......but then again, he and Hillary have already accepted Iran as a nuclear fact.
