Is Anita Dunn Really a Fan of Mao Tse Tung? (Might WH Communications Director mean something else?)
Associated Content ^ | 10/23/2009

Is Anita Dunn really a fan of Mao Tse Tung, who was one of the most prolific mass murderers of the twentieth century? Glenn Beck, quick the find anything bizarre in the Obama administration, thinks so. Joseph Lawler thinks she must be joking.

Anita Dunn did say that her two favorite political philosophers are Mother Theresa and Mao, seemingly as a joke about how very different they are, sort of like pairing Gandhi and Hitler. Then Lawler continues, taking note of the Glenn Beck video:

"But then Dunn goes into a somewhat long history of Mao and Chiang Kai Shek in 1947 that's a little bit too bright, and little too hagiographic. It suggests that she was in fact not joking that Mao is one of her favorite political philosophers. The joke was the juxtaposition between him and Mother Teresa, not her beliefs. Her love of Mao's political philosophy, unfortunately, doesn't seem to be one of the speech's jokes."

Considering the sort of people that Barack Obama had associated with or have had working for him, from Bill Ayers to Van Jones, it may not be surprising that there is a Maoist in the Obama White House.

To suggest that idolizing Mao is kind of like idolizing Hitler is not to violate Godwin's Law, even in spirit. According to Matthew White's page listing twentieth century mass deaths, Hitler put an end to about forty million lives during World War II, which includes Holocaust. While Mao was in power more than twice as long as Hitler, he snuffed out the lives of fifty million human beings, without having to resort to a world war or having an industrial style genocide machine the Nazis built.

It is possible that Anita Dunn is admiring of Mao's "achievements" while blanking out on his atrocities.

The article ends with :

Anita Dunn will be leaving the Obama administration shortly. That saves Republicans the bother of having to shame the administration to adding her to the growing list of Obama staffers who had to depart in disgrace.

White House Communications Director Anita Dunn’s husband is emerging as the top candidate to replace Greg Craig as White House counsel, Fox News has learned.

Dunn’s husband, Bob Bauer, is President Obama’s personal lawyer and a former counsel to his campaign, as well as the top lawyer for the Democratic National Committee.

Senior White House officials declined to comment, but Democrats close to the situation said Bauer is under serious consideration to replace Craig, who is expected to leave the White House by the end of the year.

"But then Dunn goes into a somewhat long history of Mao and Chiang Kai Shek in 1947 that's a little bit too bright, and little too hagiographic."

And a little too simplistic, seeing as it omits the fact that Mao's "takeover of China" was assisted by communists and Soviet agents in our State Department (Owen Lattimore, John Service and Harry Dexter White to name a few) who manipulated our foreign policy to assist the communists.

Did Mao ACTIVELY seek to Kill people like Hitler actively killed Jews? Or were the millions of deaths caused by his misguided policies ( e.g. The famine caused by the Great Leap Forward)

Yes.

“Counterrevolutionaries” were marched out and beheaded or shot by the MILLIONS under Mao’s direct orders.

During the 70s, millions more were killed by “Red Guard” under the rubric of the “Cultural Revolution”.

Yes, Mao was a bloody savage.

When the creepy bloody murderer finally died, China put his wife and his three most senior advisors on trial for the abuses they helped Mao to foist upon the Chinese. Even the Communists couldn’t take it anymore.

Personally speaking when I heard BamaKennedy say that under his healthcare plan ‘pills’ instead of ‘procedures’ for old American grandmas to save money tells exactly what is in this guy's mind and heart.

Think the press will start ‘memorializing’ the dead old people as BamaKennedy’s fault like they were want to do with military deaths being Bush the Nazi-like fault?

Now why is there such a stigma by liberals against the lunatic death monger Hitler but these people worship as victors Mao and Stalin?

Maybe the overweight Ms. Dunn meant she loved Mayonnaise? No, Mayonnaise isn't a political philosophers--but then nears is Saint Teresa of Calcutta.

I know, she meant she admired the writings of the Mayo brothers. Yeah, that's the ticket! She admires what the Mayo brothers wrote after they founded their clinic. You know, about making health care more available to the masses.

Also read today's All the Preident's Mao by Mac Fuller over at American Thinker. Partial excerpt:

President Obama and "the other side of Barack's brain," Valerie Jarrett -- whose stepfather coincidentally maintained close ties with the President's adolescent mentor and Communist, Frank Marshall Davis -- handpicked the following bureaucrats and placed them in positions of great authority, power, and visibility:

Van Jones, "Green Jobs Czar," self-defined Communist.

Ron Bloom, "Manufacturing Czar" cites Chairman Mao as a political guide.

Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director, who stated in an address to high school students this past June that Chairman Mao Tse-tung was one of the two "philosophers" she most often turns to.

President Obama handpicked and placed the Socialists and socialist sympathizers in positions of great authority and visibility:

Carol Browner, Director, White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy, an ardent Socialist activist and one of 14 leaders of Socialist International's, "Commission for a Sustainable World Society," which calls for "global governance."

Cass Sunstein, Administrator of the White House Office of Administration and Regulatory Affairs, "who openly argues for bringing socialism to the United States, and even lends support for communism...."

How many others, handpicked by Mr. Obama and Ms. Jarrett, are there?

Who ever would have dreamed of so many enemies of America in the top echelons of our government. Bring back HUAC and Joseph McCarthy!

That biotch knew exactly what she was saying. She has been hanging around with other Marxist and liberals that she thought everyone admired Mao. What a surprise for her, keep going after them Glenn Beck don't give them the chance to catch their breaths.

Somehow Associated Content seems to have missed the part where Anita states that these are the two she turns to most often. That kind of takes the edge off a supposed joke and makes it pretty clear that she was serious and meant every word.

Why would it be a joke? It's part of a consistent pattern among Obama supporters.

Her statement concerning Mao and Mother Teresa was meant as a joke. Beck missed it and so has just about everybody else. While Dunn probably feels a kinship with Mao, she is the polar opposite of Mother Teresa.

An excerpt from Mother Teresa’s statement on abortion -

“But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child - a direct killing of the innocent child - murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?”

Bring back HUAC and Joseph McCarthy!

Since so many now worship at the altar of diversity, murdering communists and murdering islamists are just viewed as an alternative lifestyle choice.

They don't understand absolute evil. Except, of course, when some Christian tries to live by his Christian values.

I hate to quote a lib, but I think it was Maya Angelou who said, "When people tell you who they are, believe them !".

One spin I really hate is when people try to pretend that people's words have another meaning altogether. She meant what she said !
