Eric Williamson, from Springfield, Virginia, was brewing coffee in his kitchen when a woman and a seven-year-old boy walked past the window and saw him.
The woman complained to police who arrested Williamson shortly after the incident on Monday morning.
Williamson, 29, insisted he did nothing wrong and that any exposure of his private parts were accidental.
"Yes I wasn't wearing any clothes but I was alone, in my own home and just got out of bed. It was dark and I had no idea anyone was outside looking in at me," he said.
Williamson, who has a five-year-old daughter, added: "I am a loving dad. Any of my friends and anyone knows that and there is not a chance on this planet I would ever, ever, ever do anything like that to a kid.
"I never had a conversation with anyone, never saw anyone. Didn't cross my mind, came and got coffee. I mean if I stood and seemed comfortable in my kitchen possibly it's natural. It's my kitchen," he insisted.
A spokesman for Fairfax county police, Mary Ann Jennings, said Williamson was arrested because officers believed he wanted to be seen naked by the public.
The 29-year-old faces up to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine if he is convicted. He is fighting the charge and seeking damages from police.

“Hey, that’s not cream!”
Again???? ...didn’t that guy learn anything from earlier in the week?
If that's the case, they'll hammer him but good.
and in other odd news,
“Man pleads guilty to La-Z-Boy crash”
story here

How can they charge him for “wanting to be seen naked in public”? First, he was not in public. He was in his own home. Second, how can someone be charged for wanting? Do we truly have thought police now?
yuck
I’m so glad I don’t live in the city.
You know you make pretty bad coffee when ...
And further more, if I saw anyone naked in their home I would be too embarrassed to tell anyone else!

Be careful everyone, perverted peeping tom mother and son could get you arrested and jailed. Maybe they should charge the mother for peeping instead :p
Next, Man jailed for getting naked while taking bath and got caught on camera
“Williamson was arrested because officers believed he wanted to be seen naked by the public.”
Well, I’m glad they can read his mind, but they give no indication this was a pattern.
I wonder how busy a street he lives on? My street is not even a through street, yet I know that there are people out before dawn walking their dogs, jogging, etc. So if he had no blinds or curtains drawn, this comes off as disingenuous at best. It’s different if you’re on an acreage somewhere and can reasonably expect privacy.
He’s so vain...
This story is very stupid. There were a number of folks “nekkid” in their homes and as kids we just ridiculed them as unkempt. What the hell happened between then and now?
Exactly! Why was this woman peeping into his home? Didn’t the man say that it was still dark outside?
The nosy neighbor should be arrested for being a Peeping Mary.
Arrested for the third time here!
Another thought,
HEADLINE: Woman arrested for naked exhibition at home. Caught on camera by peeping tom. Police thanks peeping tom for doing a great service to society
Can we please have this story posted here from every single sourcwe that printed it? Three times is not enough!
I’m not unkempt.
Jeannie C. Riley will need to add another verse.
That news account is totally BS! I was wearing a hat........
Easy.... Some are not aware.
Silly!
kids think you are.....:^)
We live in very strange times, indeed.
As long as it isn’t Skip Gates, this should turn out fine.
As I understand it, you have some expectation of privacy if what you’re doing can’t be easily seen from your neighbor’s property or the public right-of-way.
It all depends upon how visible he was from the sidewalk, and how much the lady had to stretch her neck to see him.
The only thing I can say is that he is proabably thanking God he was not caught smoking a cigarette at the same time. It would be ALL over for him for sure then.
Feminazi strolling by ... what a stupid maroon she is.
Not unkempt, just wrinkly, clothed or unclothed.
I used to play some backyard football behind these large stone houses in the south and there was one family that didn’t wear a stitch of clothing. They never came outside and the only people interested were the girls. The guys could care less, but the girls were always watching and waiting. Football was the order of the day.
Exhibitionists think they can do their thing with the apartment/condo/townhome window blinds open. It also happens in single family residences downslope from the road/sidewalk and in poorly screened backyards.
No kidding. And yet another woman with a 7 year old daughter trespassing through his yard at 5:AM. This guy must have some exceptional characteristic they are not reporting.
However, there is plenty of evidence that they were born naked, so doesn't that make nudity natural and normal behavior which should be afforded an even greater degree of protection?
I know the song wasn’t about me soon as she got to “apricot scarf.”
Thank god he wasn’t giving himself a coffee enema, like Steve McQueen was doing while fighting his cancer. Then he would be in big trouble!!
What’s to prevent this neighbor from just making the whole thing up and simply telling the police she saw somebody naked thru a window?
Somehow I bet if a man walked around his neighborhood and reported seeing a naked woman making coffee, he would be arrested for voyeurism.
From “Superman” part duh, Guilty, Guilty, Guilty. That’d be me. Best coffee is made in the dark. Afterall, the filters do keep chest/pubic hair out of the final product.
I think everybody here knows your fond of “peaches”.
Of course there's a pattern! I'd be willing to bet that this guy gets nekkid at least one time, every day! The pervert! </Sarcasm>

This was a topic on a local radio talk show the other night, and the host mentioned a number of items that weren't covered in the British news article. First off, it occurred at about 5:30am. Secondly, according to the host, his kitchen faces his back yard. It seems (according to the host) that the woman and her child were taking a short cut through the man's back yard. Again, I don't know with certainty that this was the case, but if so, the woman should be charged with false persecution, trespassing, peeping, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Just wait for this guy to be marked for life a sexual predator, escape to France, and get arrested in Switzerland after 30 years. There’ll be hate filled threads about him on FR every day!
I've been telling my husband for 30 years that he could be seen if he walks around nude in the house, which he occasionally does--to get a coffee, from bathroom to walk-in closet through our bedroom which has a huge floor to ceiling window. He thinks because we have a 1 acre lot with shrubs and trees, he is okay.
He has never done it when other people were in the house, but feels perfectly comfortable with the trips I mentioned. When we first built, there were only 4 houses in here and it was total woods outside our bedroom. Now, a road has been cut thru down from our bedroom and more houses behind us.
Evidently, this man's kitchen window is low and facing a sidewalk. Hopefully, he will grab shorts next time.
Seriously, though, how can someone be charged with indecent exposure when within their own home when the looker/lurker is outside.
vaudine
If there was screaming, banging and shots being fired, fair enough.
Seems to me they got exactly what they were looking for. If not then what were they looking for.
Wake up America. We were born naked. What is the big deal
Retraction, wrong country. Still feel the same though
Count your blessings. I had a wonderful old widow next door for YEARS. She passed away. I now have The Neighbor From Hell over there.
