U.S. leadership is crucial. That is why I am encouraged by the spirit of compromise shown in the bipartisan initiative announced last week by John Kerry and Lindsey Graham. Here was a pair of U.S. senators one Republican, the other Democratic coming together to bridge their parties differences to address climate change in a spirit of genuine give-and-take.
We cannot afford another period where the United States stands on the sidelines. An engaged United States can lead the world to seal a deal to combat climate change in Copenhagen. An indecisive or insufficiently engaged United States will cause unnecessary and ultimately unaffordable delay in concrete strategies and policies to beat this looming challenge.

Doubt it. Unless he can figure some way to get around Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution:
[The President] shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur....

These people will do anything and everything that's required to succeed.
Reid just makes sure the vote is taken in the middle of the night without telling the Pubbies.
Heck, the Dems in the House are changing the locks to conference rooms and not giving keys to the Pubbies.
Don't put anything past these socialists.
BTTT
This is what nails Repubs every time. They work to get glowing praise from news outlets that more and more Americans are rejecting and then act shocked when those same news organizations turn on them. You saw this with McNuts. When they had a real socialist/fascist/corporatist(Obama), they turned on McNuts in a right quick hurry. McNuts thought turning on those who pointed out the Rev. Wright/Obama connection in early 2008 would get him glowing praises from Chris Matthews. It did, but for a short time. When McNuts became desparate near the end of the 2008 campaign, he then tried the Wright issue and nobody was left to wipe his nose because he attacked the conservatives who pointed it out earlier and no way the news media was going to help him at that point given their knee pad support of Obama. This is why McNuts and Grahamnesty must GO!!!!
This is almost enough to make one question the judgment of people in SC.
But our party wants McNuts and Grahamnesty: it must be something wrong with AZ and SC people. And if we can’t win there, where can we win?
Yes, and the American people will keep praying that they succeed!
Graham and McLame both need to be strung up naked...one upside down...one right side up...but both force fed large amounts of ExLax.
The NYT is a bunch of pud-pulling gutter punk faggot wankers. There is no need to take them seriously.
Somebody must have told this idiot that if we don’t do something quick, the BLOB would defrost in the artic and become a real problem.
Finally something I can agree with! The US needs to stop standing on the sidelines and have the courage to be un-PC and beat these pro-AGW nations about the head and shoulders till they get some sense. If that doesn't work, take a pair of vise grips to their testicles. Grahmnesty is right, no more standing idly by, while the idiots take control!
It’s time to quit pussy footing around with these evil tyrannical masters in waiting.
Its time to quit pussy footing around with these evil tyrannical masters in waiting.”
This has got to stop these people need to find out they work for us.
