I think he wants out for his own political purposes. He’s going to use the Afghan election as the beginning of his excuse. He doesn’t want to spend anymore money there and he wants to shore up his base. The biggest gesture would be pulling out of Afghanistan. He’ll blame the blood bath on Bush, and the sooner he pulls out the easier it will be to blame Bush and others. Nobody will ever trust us again, but that’s fine with the Marxists. In fact, that works to their advantage.

How long does it take to tell the commanders to organize a withdrawal? I mean, that’s what his idiot fans were voting for right?
I knew he had a hard-on for invading Pakistan, but I think I was the only one paying attention to him in the debates where he kept saying he wanted to take the war to them.
It doesn’t seem like it should have taken so long.

This occupation is stupid and a repeat of mistakes of empires past. The military did a great job routing the Taliban. We should have left then and said “don’t make us come back and kick your ass again”.
