Everyone knows that if you don't pay to maintain and repair your car, you limit its life. The same is true as human beings age. We need medical care to avoid becoming clunkers -- disabled, worn out, parked in wheelchairs or nursing homes.
For nearly a half century, Medicare has enabled seniors to get that care. But ObamaCare is about to change that, by limiting what doctors can provide their aging patients.
The Senate Finance Committee health bill released last week controls doctors by cutting their pay if they give older patients more care than the government deems appropriate. Section 3003(b) (p. 683) punishes doctors who land in the 90th percentile or above on what they provide for seniors on Medicare by withholding 5 percent of their compensation.

Medicare is a socialist abomination. Limiting it is a good thing.

Not ALL older patients. Not us. Not our families. Now pay us
and just die, already.
The leftist communist democrats are no less murderers than the national socialist (nazi) party of germany in the 1930’s.
You’ve got that right. The only solution for the Ponzi schemes that are the foundation for the Democrat Party (Social Security, Medicare, earned income tax credit, etc.) is EARLY DEATH. That’s the only way out.
I saw the despicable b!tch Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Fox News yesterday defending Social Security and Medicare as popular and successful programs. She was doing so against the charge that every government run program has become a financial disaster. She was unwilling to concede that they are nearly insolvent, by arguing that they weren't going to be insolvent for nearly 40 years, and that they are extremely well regarded programs - just go door to door in my neighborhood and ask. What a mindless, destructive shill for socialism.
And it’s still being supported by AARP - an insurance company. Wouldn’t they want their policy holders living as long as possible? Are they just knee jerk Democratic Party supporters or being paid off?
To wit, the shift from curative care to palliative care.
Medicare was meant to be an interim social program which conditioned seniors to getting subsidized medical care from the government. The current bankruptcy is a necessary step to provide the emergency which allows them to reform the program to put us all under a socialized system. Just listen to Ronald Reagan’s radio talks from the early fifties.
Old folks are indeed “high maintenance” and they have started to refuse to follow the Dhimmis over the cliff. The party’s answer: kill ‘em off—who really needs ‘em?
Except, of course, for old politicians. They receive a “special dispensation” for all their “valuable contributions to society.” s/o
The payoff is the elimination of Medicare Advantage, to which AARP can sell alternative plans.
That’s what they are all about: selling insurance. They don’t represent anybody’s interests but their own.
“Medicare is a socialist abomination. Limiting it is a good thing.”
You know very little about medicare, If you feel this way. Perhaps you are thinking about medicaid, the program that treats non insured, welfare, illegals and other dregs of society.

Figured there had to be a good reason.
I was a member over 20 years ago when I did a lot of traveling - I liked the discounts - but never bought any of their insurance. After I retired I dropped my membership and use my NRA card for discounts.
