In my view it is “mommy problems” and “daddy problems.” Zero shares these issues with Bill Clinton...
...Obama is much more interested in power, which makes him far more dangerous to society."

Dead on! I used to think it was Narcissism, but I knew one and he wasn't a bastard. I strongly suspect 0 is, and this is the real reason he hides the birth and school documents. And, it forms the core of the sense of alienation.

I think Bastards are just as dangerous, narcissistic or not. Think of the malefactor in King Lear: (I forget his name, Edmund?) he tears down the kingdom in order to tear down the father that rejected him.

Now there is certainly a true narcissist in the White House, and he seems to have been raised in a standard household: Rahm Emanuel. He is the motor of this administration and he should be the target. Unlike 0, Rahm is very smart and very tough.

Re: the Blame Bush Excuse.

It’s there to be sure but it’s very much like the Global Warming Scam with algore.

I for one truly believe that algore truly believes in the Global Warming Scam. Why wouldn’t he? It’s gotten him where he is today and all his minions believe it so he does too.

It’s the same with Zero and Blame Bush. This is quite literally what got him where he is today. To Zero and people like him, it’s more than an “excuse” - it’s literally what they “believe in”.

It’s a subtle difference to be sure - but in essence it’s like peeking inside the head of Jim Jones as the Kool aid lines were forming. Do they believe the con is a con, or do they believe their own con? I vote for the latter.

In Zero’s case, in particular, a lot is based on what he says when the teleprompter is off. When he’s improvising, that’s when most of the Blame Bush stuff comes out. To me, that’s somewhat indicative of his true state of mind.

Not that it matters but I’d say that AlGore knows full well that what he’s doing is BS and a racket. He refuses to debate global swarming with anyone, saying that there is no question about it anymore and GS is a matter of decided science. If he believed in it, he’d at least try to argue the point in order to win over skeptics but he refuses to do that.

The other thing to look at is the way Gore lives. He has a lavish lifestyle which leaves a huge “carbon footprint,” public opinion be damned. Several months ago, when his organization was pushing an energy conservation day, some folks made it a point to drive by his Nashville mansion and the place was lit up like a Christmas tree. He jets around, burning up energy and doesn’t seem to give a flip about it. That is the life of a scammer and a charlatan.

Contrast that lifestyle with that of Ralph Nader, whom I think really is a true believer. He has always pretty much lived like a monk, or at least very modestly. His interest has always been in promoting whatever hippy-dippy cause he is hot on at the moment and not in living in the lap of luxury.

There certainly are some major true believers in the “green” movement but I don’t think AlGore is one of them.

Funny you mention Lear and Edmund the Bastard. I had to read the play in school and I remember WS’s directions of “Enter Bastard,” and not “Enter Edmund.” The groundlings in Shakespeare’s day reportedly would hoot and sneer when Edmund slithered onto the stage because the term “bastard” in those days had more meaning than illigitimacy or even a rotten s.o.b. It meant a usurper, a troublemaker, somebody who was always scheming to get something that was not rightfully his. Thus the jeers and hisses.

I think that if a play is ever done about Hussein’s life, his entry onto the stage should be indicated with an “Enter Bastard!”

I realize that in a sense we're debating angels on the head of a pin - but I'd never underestimate people's capacity for self-deception. To you and me algore is a fraud, a liar and a hypocrite, but when algore looks in the mirror he probably sees a superhero - like - will like this.

Outstanding article.
Key phrase was that intel agencies around the world have psychiatric staffs to watch how he operates. Paraphrasing here. obama made the statement that he was a citizen of the world, but the world is watching him and how he operates. The islamic terrorists were watching clinton throughout the 90s as well and we saw what that got us.

Maybe that’s why they have to do their “deliberating” on health care behind closed doors.

So many egos packed together like sardines! How I’d love to be a fly on that wall!

Actually, I see him “haunting” European politics and the UN.

His style of symbolism over substance remains popular with that crowd. They’ll probably make him Secretary General—a useless position with a big title that should fit Zippy like a glove.

I’m not so sure. I think his handlers are very concerned that Obama will end up like Bush. They work very hard at squashing criticism so that people don’t treat Obama as badly as they treated Bush.

Very true. I think he and anybody associated with him will be toast here in the US before too long.

When Blair is elevated to prez of the EU as expected, it could get very interesting.

We seem to be living in an age of narcissist on top of narcissist. The 1930’s was about the same and we all know how that turned out.

It is difficult to make generalities and narcissism of varying degrees has become almost ubiquitous in our society. However, as someone who was raised by a narcissist, I can remember many, many instances when that person was criticized and their response was to absolutely cut off the criticizer .

This led to them leaving an educational program, working for years to cut off all contact between almost all family members and ending up with one relationship with the one family member most damaged by this behavior, but, still, the one most able to be manipulated.

I think, if this is representative of people with this particular personality disorder, that zerO will end up with only a small cult following of the most radical leftists and the most dependent blacks. Then, among these groupies, he will further alienate a portion of his formerly fanatic enablers and some of the ones who remain will spend the rest of their lives trying to rationalize the relationship.

He will be essentially alone, bitter and miserable. Like Carter, he will use whatever support he still retains to constantly bash anyone whom he thinks has done him harm or even just walked away. Because, as you say, he is lazy, I don’t think he will have the ability to start something like Habitat for Humanity, which ultimately gave Carter a veneer of selflessness. He just isn’t bright enough to stage a comeback and he may be so tainted that no one will help him become rehabilitated.

It is difficult to describe the degree of visceral revulsion one can feel in the presence of this sort of person once the charisma fades and any hope for them changing is vanished. I think that the reaction is even worse when the narcissist is someone who was once loved. The pain of experiencing their anger and disdain just finally morphs into physical illness and after awhile, one must walk away in self-preservation. Anyone who stays is just allowing themselves to be abused.

Ignoring him will be the most painful response he could experience.
