VANITY: Fire Pete Sessions for attacking Doug Hoffman with Our Money

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has spent tens of thousands of dollars in the three-way NY-23 race to support pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro-taxation, pro-stimulus DIABLO candidate Dede Scozzafava, who has refused to promise not to run as a Democrat next year if she loses the Republican primary as expected. That's bad enough, but at least many of the ads so far have focused on attacking the Democrat, which we can all agree upon.

Rumors posted to NRO and elsewhere are saying that this weekend things will change, and hundreds of thousands of NRCC dollars will pour into the district to sponsor attack ads against Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman. Meanwhile, the NRCC is not strongly supporting conservative Republican David Harmer in his run for a seat in California.

The conclusion we have to draw is that Rep. Pete Sessions, the chair of the NRCC, needs to leave his post. I will never give one dime to the NRCC again until it is abolished and refounded. I will also be supporting whatever candidate runs against Pete next year.

I am sad, however, that being far away from Washington and Texas, I will be unable to express my displeasure toward Pete in person.

No. The conclusion is that the NY GOP chairman, the buffoon who handpicked Dee Dee, needed to go. He is already gone.

Sorry, won’t join you. I’m happy we have so many people supporting Doug, but I can’t fault the national republican committees for supporting the choice of the local republican committees.

Thank you voice of reason.

"I may clueless, but I’m trying to figure out why the NRCC being condemned for supporting a Republican vs. someone who is independent and not a Republican?

You're stepping into this at the end! - He is a Republican, but his candidacy was sabotaged by the liberals that control the county committees. So he had to run from the outside.

Hoffman was reported to have said that if he lost this race he would run in the 2010 Republican primary for this seat, as a Republican.

$700,000 in ads against Hoffman is the LOCAL chair's fault?

Pass the buck some more, chump. When are we going to LEADERSHIP in Washington? Fire Sessions now and replace him with Hoffman.

I think given the choice of D or H...the GOP would have been a lot better off endorsing H (Hoffman) right from the beginning. I think the country really wants serious opposition to the Democrats in power (they have been hijacked by the Progressives) and RINO’s, liberal Republicans, etc whatever are not going to get the job done.

Likewise anyone that gets ACORN’s support, voted for the failed stimulus or gets endorsed by the Working Family Party...they have no business running at this point regardless of party - it is just a slap in the face of hardworking Americans.

I think a lot of people think Republicans should be Conservatives and not liberals...but that is exactly the problem. Republicans don’t stand for anything anymore...just big government just not quite as big as the Democrats.

We need to vote all of them out...get a strong true conservative base elected and really start fixing our country.
