With lots of cable news shows, the feast of the 2008 election has lead to famine in 2009.
Countdown with Keith Olbermans ratings are in the famine range as well, with October year over year ratings down 53% in the cable news target adults 25-54 demo, and down 53% in average viewership. Although I dont have a trend chart, October is also Olbermanns lowest rated month so far in 2009 in both 25-54 and average viewers.

Olbermann is a fool and an insult to the average persons intellegence. If the studio can’t do any better, they deserve to go out of business. Even the jet set, if they still call them that, have figured this out.

08 was an election year.
Without a comparison and charts to other networks, this info is meaningless.
If oberdork went down 60% and everyone else went down 70%, this would actually be good news for him. Need more info before (hopefully) gloating.

Honestly good for Olby. I think the guy is a total loon and an embarrassment to the human race, but he’s getting paid millions for contributing nothing to MSNBC’s ratings...jokes on them I guess.

"Bash Bush and Cheney some more. That should perk up the numbers. s/" I don't know why, but I've caught Jay Leno's monologue a few times in the last two weeks. Every time, he's had at least two Bush/Cheney jokes, and nothing about Obama. And yet, he's drawing fewer viewers than Univision on some nights.
Jay, and the programming chiefs over at MSNBC, should look at the ratings for FNC, and make adjustments accordingly, that is if it's really about profits, and not about pushing agendas.

Yes, but when its one of the few products your company has that’s not an option. Liberals love to talk about diversity but have little clue what its all about. If they were truly diverse they’d have conservative shows too. As it is they’re all drowning in the same kool-aid barrel.

MSNBC Maddow and Schulz are promoting the ‘single payer/public plan’ causes and so my guess is Olbermann’s antics are wearing thin and the libs have shifted to the above two.
I started watching Maddow and Schulz to keep an eye on the libs(who are fighting the moderates) , got bored with Olbermann. Also the first two actually have republican and conservative guests Olbermann never does.

The real villain here is Phil Griffin-head of MSNBC. And the super villain is Jeffery Immelt of GE.
Immelt has done more to destroy a great American Company than anyone else I can remember. Why the shareholders haven't kicked him out is beyond me. He's just one more in a long line of Ivy League A**holes who also went to Harvard Business School and has destroyed business in America. I doubt he's ever worked in a factory. I doubt he's ever produced anything. He's a total BS artist.
When are we (USA) going to learn to dismiss these parasites. The shareholders seem enamored with these types. Their track record is terrible. They have overseen the decline of American Business and American Manufacturing. These guys are the scum of the earth.
GE shareholders will get wise one day and give this creep the boot. I hope there is something left of the company.
Why do you think it is that Olbermann is still around despite these horrible ratings? That's the real question that nobody seems to have an answer for.
