Are you saying “god” created you and put both good and evil in your mind?

You believe there is a God. Apparently you don’t believe in the Bible. Personally, I don’t understand that.

I believe there is an evil being in direct conflict with Good. And by knowing he’s there, he has no power over me.

Many “intellectuals” say there is “some kind of creator” but that’s as far as they go. Me? I’m grateful to be dumb and ingnorant enough to believe.

I also heard a guy say in an AA meeting that his “higher power” was a door knob. I told him “When the time comes that you want a drink so bad you can taste it and you can’t get anyone on the phone, ask that door knob to help you out and see what happens.”

I carry the good with me from my creator. The evil comes from culturation as I grow older, yes.

This is not inconsistent with Torah as I feel that the evil influences in it are brought “through” God Himself: the serpent in the garden; the “angel” who wrestles with Jacob, etc.

An “evil being in direct conflict with God” strikes me as polytheism. To say that however that “evil” has no power over you is akin to saying, “I don’t sin”, which would make you more than human.

There seems more and more human influence outside of Torah, ie., the rest of The Bible, thus the sharper instances of, and the essentially complete image of the “Devil” is in the New Testament to which I remain agnostic.

All good....
