DOVER, DEL. -- Earlier this year President Obama lifted the 18-year ban on media coverage of the return of fallen soldiers to Dover, a ban critics said hid the costs of war from the American people. Thursday morning President Obama -- who is weighing new strategy in Afghanistan -- saw those costs up close.

This was on FNF just a few minutes ago. i had to turn it off. Made me ill also. When will this nightmare end?
The cameras were there because they are White House pool cameras. There’s usually 2 or 3 cameras that always follow the president around, and every network gets to send a camera operator along. The names are picked from a lottery. The White House pool cameras follow the president wherever he goes. All television media then gets to use the video footage of those cameras once they set up live or arrive back at the White House later.
He’ll never pass up a good photo op. Disgusting.
But, I agree with you, it was a PR stunt because this is the first such event of this kind he’s attended in person and there have been many under this leaderless and indecisive president.
I can’t stand to see his Maoist Mug anymore as he destroys our country.

The only good I can think of from this is perhaps he finally sees them for himself and starts to “get it” when someone like General McCrystal tells him what is best for our troops.
