RICHMOND, California — Four teens were charged Wednesday in the gang rape and beating of a 15-year-old girl outside her high school homecoming dance in Northern California, in an attack that has generated widespread outrage.
All four — ages 15, 16, 17 and 19 — were charged with rape and enhancements that they acted in concert, which could make them eligible for life in prison.

That was my thought, too. For one thing, in a place like Richmond, they wouldn't have dared to do it unless they were part of a gang and knew that this girl was not under the protection of a rival gang or somebody's sister or something else like that.
My son works for the phone company and when he had to go to Richmond occasionally, they always told the phone guys to see nothing and hear nothing, otherwise their lives were at risk. That is, the pile of crack on the kitchen table, the meth lab in the bathroom, etc...
I got the impression that almost nobody who lives there is very nice. Wasn't Richmond the place where that pervert was holding the girl he had kidnapped 20 years ago?

I find the world’s excuse of gangs just as sad as the excuse of those bystanders.
They have been raised and taught to be non-judgmental and not to disrespect others lifestyle choices and to be TOLERANT. They have been taught if it feels good do it, they have been taught there is no God. There are no consequences for how we live our lives.
What did society expect?
They would probably enjoy it.
Our society needs to have a “grand divorce”, along state lines.
A “free state”, one with traditional Christian values, should enforce the law to the hilt, driving out people like this to “more favorable” states. Let THEM enjoy their “multicultural experience” until they get tired of it or decline into absolute depravity.

The Richmond City Council has been taken over by hippies. They have hampered the police chief’s efforts to wage an effective campaign against illegals and known criminals. License checks on 23rd.St., the street in front of Richmond High, were stopped because they were deemed not politically correct. That being a Latino neighborhood and all.

How are gangs an “excuse?” The whole purpose of a gang is to carry out vicious acts, so joining one shows right then and there what type of person you are and what you will do if you get the opportunity.
I wish the churches would work harder against gangs. Back in the 1960s in some slum areas there was a lot of anti-gang work being done by churches, but once the radical leftists managed to make the authorities and the press believe that gangs were just poor kids trying to stay alive and get money to feed their aging mothers, all the while expressing their political opposition to the Man and the system, churches got scared off. But gang membership has to be taken up again as a moral issue.

I say, after they are convicted, and only after they are convicted, there should be announcements sent to the victim’s family, close friends, ex-cons (because they abhor child molesters), etc., stating that the perps (shackled of course) will be released in a dark, dead end ally. Announcement also to state date, time, etc., and that all law enforcement will be on holiday in that area for 24 hours.
In this manner, the friends and family of the victim and the perps can become acquainted with each other.

I understand reading the Word and believing what it says, but I don’t have the theological/language/historical education to read and understand the Hebrew in the contemporary context in which it was written,

Many parents are AWOL. Where was the security? You got a city that is one of the most crime ridden in the country and you don’t have pre-set police patrols, no school security set up, etc., etc.?
