Unfortunately, anything you “register” with “The State,” you do not really own, including when you registered your children at birth. We do not *really* own anything in this country.
My family belongs to me, I belong to them and we belong to G_d, they are not property owned by the state. I may be required to render unto Caesar, but this is nonnegotiable.
No bureaucrat, no school administrator and no badge bearing flunky will interfere with that covenant as long as I draw breath.
We allow these power hungry b*****ds to over reach so often they believe otherwise, but a sharp rap on the nose will put them back in their place and I'm not averse to teaching them any needed lessons.
