Johnston's Fifteen Minutes of Fame Depends on Amount of Dirt He Can Dish on Palin
It's been almost a year since Sarah Palin lost the election to Barack Obama. Even so, the press and media continues its fascination with the ex-Governor of Alaska by putting on the "stand", "star witness" for the Palin "prosecution", 19-yr-old Levi Johnston.
Of course, Palin didn't actually run against Obama, but you'd think, judging by the attention garnered in the media and the continual Presidential pop quizzes given Palin that were never given to Obama, that it was Palin, and not, you know, what's his name, McCain, who was on the top ticket.
In fact, I've actually read comments on other sites where the person who wrote the comment actually believed Palin was running for President and not Vice-President. Think on this: how many former VP candidates has the press continued to hound almost a full year after the election? Indeed, how many people can actually name the second banana in past Presidential elections of the party who lost the election?
When Palin's name was finally announced, droves of intrepid "reporters" flocked, en masse to tiny Wasilla, Alaska. Their intention: get the "dirt" on Palin. Luckily for those who still "fear" Palin, there's an individual who can supply not only the "dirty" goods on Sarah, but claims he's got even more "dirt" in store for future use. The individual: Levi Johnston, 19, "budding media star", father of Palin's daughter Bristol's baby, and chief witness for the media in the "case" against Sarah Palin.
Had, as Johnston claimed, Sarah Palin referred to her Downs Syndrome baby Trig as "retarded"? Not once, according to Johnston, but repeatedly?

However, it's as much a part of Levi's story how some media organizations are willing to pay money to Levi Johnston in almost direct proportion to how willing he is to spout derogatory speech about Sarah Palin.

That term was used all the time when I was growing up and I’m a little younger than Sarah. But I believe studboy is lying. Sarah will clean his clock and he won’t know what hit him. Kids that age think they’re so freaking smart.

A month or so ago Pat Buchanan stated on some show that Todd Palin should march Levi down to the nearest stream and hold Levi’s head under the water until the thrashing stopped, LMAO.
What really will happen is his girl friend Kathy Griffin will see his picture in Playgirl next month and she will show it to Keith Olberman. He'll be so turned on that he'll start a relationship with Levi which will eventually lead to them getting married under the Congress's new Affordable Marriage for Gay Partners in America Act.
Eventually they'll adopt Bill Mahr and Joy Behar and move to a nudist colony in California and open a pharmaceutical marijuana shop.
Bill Mahr will continue down his road of accute alcoholism and Keith will start mainlining Roundup weed killer and Levi will become clinically depressed that he can't get any job other than male stripper in Mexicali. Joy Behar will finally achieve success when she's hired to be the Obama's nanny after they leave the White House in 2013.

They wouldn’t be paying him nearly as much if Sarah would learn to zip her mouth about him and his crude tales. She dignifies every tasteless allegation that comes out of his trashy mouth with a response. The media outlets that are paying him know by now that they’re guaranteed she’ll do this. And that guarantees a huge increase in website hits, magazine sales, TV ratings, etc over what Levi talking into a vacuum would draw. When it’s just Levi blabbing some claim about a private matter which he has no proof for, the story is strictly for the regular tabloid audience. But as soon as Palin or her official spokespeople respond to him, that becomes legitimate news that draws the attention of serious news outlets, with a number of people from their audience then crossing over to see the original story from some tabloidy outlet. Levi’s 15 minutes would have run out months ago if Palin didn’t keep renewing it for him.
I'm sure he's already a druggie and boozer (and was when he was "hooked up" with Bristol). His mama heartily approves of that sort of thing.
He may well be on his way to a long, strange, pathetic "career", along the lines of Anna Nicole Smith. Nobody can quite remember how she ever got famous in the first place, but it was always clear it wasn't for anything worthwhile, and it was always clear she was train-wreck heading for a premature death. The only questions were what drug or drugs would finally do the deed, and would it be accidental or intentional.
I can see Levi 20 years from now, struggling in vain to keep looking like a beefy hunk, and his name and face recognized by teenagers all over the country, who vaguely recall that he used to be on this or that reality show and used be hooked up with this or that skanky movie star or pop star who broke up with him when he had to do a long stint in rehab. They're likely never to have heard of Bristol or Sarah Palin.

One of my professors, who is lead council for a large insurance company, always refers to one of his daughters as “retarded.” She is mentally retarded enough that she can’t live on her own and that’s how he talks about her. But, it’s never demeaning, and you can tell how much he loves her and how proud he is of the few things she has been able to accomplish (like receiving a high school completion certificate, and working at Wendy’s for ten years).
He’s in his 60’s, definitely not PC, and I love that his straight-talking style bothers a lot of the other students.
