I think that the "his" presence refers to in Levi's presence, not the baby's. (The baby has, in all likelihood, never heard that term from either SP or his mother.)

By the way, when did it become bad to use the word “retard”? I realize Oppressed Minorities force us to call them different things every so often, for no apparent reason other than that the word has gone sour for being associated with them for so long. Hence we call blacks blacks instead of colored, though at one point colored was fine. We also stopped calling midgets midgets, and I still don’t know why, aside from he aforementioned feeling on the midgets’ part that when one word applies to them for any length of time it automatically becomes offensive.
My question is why do we have to go along with them? I could care less if handicapped people and their adocates (/masters) don’t like it. They can grow up. The word didn’t start as a slur, and it isn’t now, except insofar as slurrers have co-opted it. But they don’t own it, and neither do the handicapped.

The real outrage in this story is the driveby media and the Obama administration. THEY are propping Johnston up. Johnston is just a TOOL.
Every time he spouts even the littlest smear, we should be protesting the show, newspaper, network, magazine, etc, that lets him mouth off or publishes his “remarks”.
Please also realize this: The driveby media are doing this for two reasons. First and foremost, the Obama administration is orchestrating this and is encouraging the Left wing press to carry stories about Johnston. This is Chicago style against Sarah Palin, a perceived rival they're very worried about.
George Stephanopolous hosts a conference call EVERY morning with Rahm Emmanuel and John Podesta. They decide then and there what stories get ignored, what stories get airtime, who is in the biggest need of a smear, and which reporter/publisher is on their side and therefore who to direct the story to. Axelrod probably writes a nightly email to Emmanuel after going over it with Obama. So the best thing for our side is to accuse the White House of deliberately supporting the Johnston smears, because it's the truth. This is the way they operate and it worked in Chicago and then the Illinois senate race against Ryan via his divorce records.
The other reason the driveby media is so eager to be the vehicle of these smears is they themselves hate Palin and want nothing more than to see her brutalized politically.
Ask yourself this: Why do the driveby’s even think people are interested in what Levi Johnston has to say? Does anyone think they actually think he's being civil, honest, and trustworthy? Think past the story and consider why they're giving him airtime at all!
The drivebys know that the sheeple will mindlessly "discuss" whatever the drivebys choose to "report" on, whether it's some slug slandering a conservative statesman or the latest antics of some hollywood slut. Anything to distract from (at the moment) the marxist takeover currently being plotted by Pelosi and 0bama.

Sadly, many young women from stable, loving, moral families have no exposure to males of Levi Johnston’s ilk. He looked good, probably behaved himself and the innocent Bristol Palin had no idea what kind of cretin he truly was.
My closest childhood friend had a similar experience. Her parents were a caring happily married couple for 60 years. Whe witnessed no drinking, infidelity or domestic violence. My friend sadly, married someone capable of all three - not a clue to his true character until the first baby was born...then it was too late.
When the worm turns... and it will, on this puke...when they have used him up for what little value he has...He is going to be alone and despised by nearly everyone. Not even a liberal will like or trust him in the end...he is just a redneck cannibal to the lefties.
