NAUGATUCK, Conn. (AP) Naugatuck police say theyre searching for a woman who was running an illegal dentists practice in her apartment.
Police say they found used syringes and other unsanitary medical items in the womans one-room apartment, but they havent received any complaints from her patients.
Authorities say the suspect is a Brazilian woman, but theyre not releasing her name. Theyre asking her patients to call the police department.
Police are working with state health officials to determine whether criminal or civil charges are warranted. They say the woman was apparently serving illegal immigrants who didnt have insurance and couldnt afford to go to a licensed dentist.
Authorities say there were no signs of sterilization equipment in the apartment.

Back Alley Dentist?
Most people are terrified to go to a legit dentist. Why would you go to some quack that uses a Lay-Z-boy as a dental chair?
I have heard that Brasilians are much more advanced in the science of dentistry. It would be worth a shot to try, no?
Sometimes it is better to take the pain pill than to have the surgery, or so President Obama says.
Honestly, while I don’t having illegal immigrants here, I have no problem with unlicensed doctors and dentists practicing as long as they aren’t representing to patients that they have credentials which they don’t actually have. We *need* a FREE market in healthcare, and that includes the right to choose a less-qualified provider, if you feel you’ll get good enough care and a good value for your money.
I don’t see the problem here. She’s pretending to be a dentist. Her patients are pretending to be Americans.
Unsanitary medical items?
Coathangers....?????
Under ObamaCare, her practice will flourish —NO WAITING.
“Sounds like a future practice under Obamacare. “
Yes it does.
