Huge Texas Wind Farm's Turbines Will Be Made in China

Clean tech has seen a boost as the U.S. pours government funding into renewable energy, and China looks set to reap much of the benefits. Latest example: a Chinese wind-turbine company has just become the exclusive supplier for one of the largest wind-farm developments in the U.S. The Shenyang Power Group has signed on to supply 240 of its massive 2.5-megawatt wind turbines to a 36,000-acre development in West Texas. The Wall Street Journal reports that the wind farm is also slated to receive $1.5 billion in financing from the Export-Import Bank of China.

but, but, but, our great governor of colorado, the dim ritter said he goy us a wind turbine manufacturer to build 4 facilities in the state. of course all on the front range and he so screwed the oil and gas industry thet are all leaving. what a guy. so i wonder what we are building?

And the resultant electricity will be exported cheap to power the military industrial complex in... China!

China will burn lots of dirty coal to make these wind turbines. The U.S. will borrow the money to pay for them from China. American consumers will pay a huge premium for the “green power” the turbines produce (albeit, intermittently). The U.S. taxpayer will make up the losses.
See — it all makes sense (when seen Through the Looking Glass, that is).

Everytime I look at one of these green jobs plans they turn out to be an outsourcing scam.
They say that some windmills will be manufactured here in Michigan but when anyone asks questions. they’re told “a deal is in the works” with the spanish company that makes them now. No body explains what in the works means. Another factory here in Michigan was supposed to make batteries for electric cars but it has been determined that the employees aren’t educated enough to run the factory.
Nothing but a massive scam from beginning to end.

Why rhe H#ELL do we have to go outside of the U.S. to buy wind turbines? Don’t we have some of the most cutting edge wind technology right here in the states? Oh right...We only enrich *other* peoples while the DemoCommies are in control here.
