He had the symbols covered up because he didn’t want to be seen as advocating a particular religion. You know how leftists are about not wanting to offend the sensibilities of the Other — Muslims, Jews, atheists, Buddhists, etc. Also because his leftwing base wouldn’t have liked it.
If he were Muslim, we might expect to hear reports of his praying five times a day, or fasting during Ramadan, and we would probably not see him attend a Christian church or profess to be a Christian. I think these latter two are probably not part of Islamic doctrine.
Yes, he’s a democratic-socialist along the lines of Bernie Sanders, but not a communist. He wants wealth redistribution through the tax system but doesn’t want to do away with capitalism. He wants the government to control and regulate industry and the markets but he doesn’t want the govt to own the means of production. His beliefs track almost perfectly with the soft socialism of the Europeans. Like I said earlier, he wants to turn America into Denmark, not Cuba. Some people seem to like the added drama and excitement that comes with believing he’s a communist, but I think that’s pretty far fetched.
Sounds like Neville Chamberlain to me. :-)

Perhaps he feels that if he makes nice and sucks up to the Muslims, they won’t hurt us. No differnt that the aqppeasement tendices(sic) of the Left throughout history.

OK, but he certainly has shown an affinity for Islam throughout his life. His own father was a muslim.
Oh wait, maybe his real father is actually an American and his mother lied about his true paternity. That would nullify the birthers arguments and suggest that his mother was simply some sort of a slut.
The man has been sucking up to Islam for years. The whole Indonesia schooling, the muslim garb that he wore that everyone has seen.
Have you ever worn muslim clothing or attended muslim schools, or been adopted by a muslim?
Sometimes out here I can be obtuse, so I suppose that it is OK for others to be as well.
Those words would only come out of a mouth of one who had thought of himself as Muslim, at least at one point in his life.
I think he still sees the world through Muslim eyes, as opposed to the heart-felt views of a Christian.
He is not seeking fellowship with other Christians, THAT IS FOR SURE !
He didn't participate in the National Day of Prayer, either.

The only religious observance he seems comfortable with is Islam. He did have observance of Ramadam in the White House.
Either way this creature continues to lie about what he really believes in. Makes you kinda wonder if this creature has any character what so ever.
He cannot be honest about himself; he knows it is out of step with the Real America.
Either he did not know this before, or was lying to himself, or to all of us.
He is in a mess, and I continue to believe that he will not finish his first term, but will resigh for "health" reasons.
The moslem religion allows for lying, which would certainly include going to any non-moslem church (or pastoring any church while attaching any label to it), in order to perpetrate itself.
Praying five times a day would be kept as secret as the truth of his religion, in such a scenario. And as a moslem infiltrator, his agenda (like that of a bin Laden or an Achmadinejad) would be much more weighted towards stealing and maintaining power for himself than towards any kind of spiritual purity.
