Boehner: 'Political rebellion' under way [Boehner, RINO Party want to co-opt Tea Party rage]
UPI ^ | 2009-11-01

Posted on 11/01/2009 6:36:16 PM PST by rabscuttle385

WASHINGTON, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- There is a "political rebellion" going on in America that the Republican Party is hoping to speak for, the U.S. House minority leader says.

Rep. John Boehner of Ohio, speaking Sunday on CNN's "State of Union," said an incident in which a GOP-endorsed New York congressional candidate withdrew from an election under pressure from Republican conservatives showed that "we're in the middle of a political rebellion going on in America."

Boehner said, "This rebellion are by people who really have not been actively involved in the political process. And they don't really care whether you're a Democrat or a Republican. They want to see people who are going to stand up and protect the future for our kids and grandkids."

The House candidate, Dede Scozzafava, who'd been chosen by local Republican leaders to try to hold the seat of now-U.S. Army Secretary John McHugh for the GOP, was attacked by Republican presidential hopefuls Sarah Palin and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty as not sufficiently conservative.

Scozzafava on Sunday threw her support not to Conservative Party candidate Bill Hoffman but to Democratic candidate Bill Owens, the Washington publication The Hill reported.

NOT! He also started that tripe about the big tent routine just to make sure he didn’t piss off any of his Wall St donors.

Obama was right in saying we were five days away from fundamentally changing this country. The only thing he didn’t figure on was the tranformational change was going to be instituted by the 40% of citizens who call themselves Conservatives.

Let’s see if they really get the message.

They will get the message only to a point.

All the current office holders like him are political opportunists and will say anything to keep themselves in their jobs.

They can not be trusted under ANY circumstances and ALL must be voted out of their offices.

For those who say that maybe they have learned their lesson; most of their ilk are still RINOs and will turn on us. Since we are near the precipice, the Nation can not afford to give any of them the benefit of the doubt. They all must be replaced with real conservatives.

You don’t have a clue how conservative John Boehner is and how hard he has tried to make sure the GOP stays together in the House. He is fighting the battle day in and day out and doing a whole lot more then a lot of people that want to shoot off their mouths on what the GOP is doing wrong.

Third parties don’t own the Tea Party movement but for your information there are a lot of Republican conservatives in the movement who are sick and tired of 3rd party people telling the GOP what to do and you are talking to one.

I have more respect for people that are from the 3rd parties and admit it then I do a bunch of people on here that cannot say anything good about Republicans who are working hard to try and keep healthcare from passing while behind criticized for not doing enough.

Disgusting to keep hearing that I used to be a Republican when they didn’t stay and try to change from in or they are not going to vote for someone who is not pure enough.

What do we have to lose? Low taxes? Ha! Smaller government? From the RINOs/GOP/RNC? Ha!

What am I missing here? I don't see what's wrong with what Boehner said.

"we're in the middle of a political rebellion going on in America."

Boehner said, "This rebellion are by people who really have not been actively involved in the political process. And they don't really care whether you're a Democrat or a Republican. They want to see people who are going to stand up and protect the future for our kids and grandkids."

I interpret this as saying people would rather vote for the Conservative candidate (Hoffman) vs. someone with a R (Scozzafava) or D (Owens)by their name.

They sit on the side lines hoping to latch on to what ever comes down the pipe, They sit silently while our country goes into cardiac arrest, some are to busy lining up to kiss the Obama a##, oh look at me I’m bipartisan. To me bipartisan right now is like saying “I know your destroying America, how can I help” The cancer that killed the Democratic party is now killing the GOP. Conservatism is thier only hope, The people don’t want lip service they want thier country back! The train is leaving the station, don’t be late for the Revolution!

Bohnior makes a point to remind The Tea Partiers that he attended a tea party rally in Ohio in August.

Yet he had already rubber stamped DeDe as the GOP nominee.
DeDe is propably the most Liberal ever selected to run as a GOP.

There is a "political rebellion" going on in America that the Republican Party is hoping to speak for, the U.S. House minority leader says.

Well, as one of the rebels, I have to say that neither John "Big Tent" Boehner nor his party speak for me.

If he and his cronies keep it up they'll soon be able to caucus in a pup tent.

And it could happen faster than most would believe possible.

Hence my tagline...

Simple question? What is wrong if a few Constitution Party Conservatives are elected in Congress and to the Senate? I understand a 3rd Party can’t win nationally, however what is so wrong with the conservatives having their own block of votes in each house to keep both national parties honest?

"In 2008, Scozzafava's voting record in the State Assembly received a 15% rating from the Conservative Party of New York [12], further to the left than 46 Assembly Democrats. Scozzafava's campaign has stated she will not rule out changing party affiliation to Democrat if she wins the election. [13

Sounds like some type of self esteem talking-up of some loser that's "trying weally weally hard". I've been hearing loser GOP( literally, losers ) say that supporting every lefty liberal leftist loser like Arlen Specter and DeDe Scuzzafava is the route to...er...

This is the order of action for the RINO-infested, Republican Establishment when it comes to the phenomonen of the TEA PARTIES/GRASSROOTS CONSERVATIVE POLITICAL UPRISING OF 2009.

a) Ignore

b) Ridicule

c) Attack

d) Admit Defeat but try to CO-OPT and NEWTRALIZE

They are entering phase d) in my estimatation. They are slick, seasoned, two-tongued, dishonest beltway-game insiders and we best be on our 100% alert for their shenanigans and make sure we maintain CONTROL at ALL TIMES.

One thing to do is threaten them with the possible action of the Third Party Nuclear Option any time we feel they are not adequately and sincerely towing the Anti-Obama, Conservative Line and obeying us, their masters.

“The phonies in the GOP are scared to death that people are peaking behind the GOP curtain.

So let me get this straight. We are going to work our butts off electing conservatives like Hoffman and Rubio so we can gain a majority in the house and thus give more power to the same GOP leadership that rubber stamped, supported and funded the likes of DeDe.

These are the same leadership hacks that spent like drunken sailors when they had the power.

If we want a revolution, we had better get some new leadership in the house and senate who are in sync with us.

I disagree with a lot of what the party has supported in terms of both candidates and issues, at least as it pertains to “compromise”, but I’m also sick and tired of the venom being directed at the pub party as a whole instead of whom it should really be directed at - zero, Pelosi, Reid, Schemer, leahy, and the rest.

There are still a lot of conservative, hard-working pubs. All the “My way or the highway” threats and sabre-rattling on this site is juvenile and unproductive. We have to work to either reform the pub party from within and unseat the party power-brokers or else join the Conservative Party and understand that, in so doing, the rats will control everything for many years to come, if not forever. Further, the more we weaken the pub party, the more likely it is to completely succumb to full destruction wielded by the rat party. I agree that the pub leadership needs to be pushed out in exchange for true conservatives, but these nimrods with their petulant, juvenile ultimatums and demands for instant gratification are too stupid for their own good and need to get a clue.....fast.

We need more Doug Hoffmans - calm, rational, and steadfast fighters, not big-talking blowhards.

RE :”Go f- yourself, Rep. Bonehead!” (Boehner)

Elected republicans are just riding the wave caused by the natural shift in tide. They have done nothing.

Peter Schiff Wall Street Unspun 4-29-09 (Republicans in power act like Democrats)

It really aggravates me that the only time the republicans can say the truth, the only time they have any principles is when their in the minority, when they can’t do anything. When they are actually in control and have power they govern like democrats. It’s only when they’re out of power that they talk about the free market, that they sound like what they campaigned for. It makes me more aggravated at the republicans than the democrats. Maybe the democrats are just dumb; maybe they don’t know any better. But obviously the republicans know. But when the republicans are in power they deliberately don’t say anything. It’s like as long as republicans are in the minority they’re OK, they’re fine. You can just never put them in the majority because they act like democrats.

Hoffman is a moderate. He’s not a conservative. Scuzzafava is a social and economic liberal. A Diablo. Democrat in all but label only.

I imagine the so-called leaders will hang on with all claws to their positions. Giving up power, or positions is worse than death to them. They will try to buy off people.

All we can do is publicly express our dislike of them and supporters. If we don’t push, nothing will happen.

The “rebellion” is of your making Mr Boehner-—you’ve had it way too comfy with the good ol goofs on the make in the beltway and did not realize that America is essentially - still - a conservative place - yeah - a whole bunch of conservative rebels we are.

The rebellion is a campaign to take back our party from the goofs like you Mr. Boehner. A way to take back America from those who have been attempting to sell it down the river to the highest bidder.
