ROWAN COUNTY, N.C.-- Police have made an arrest after a team of robbers invaded a home in Rowan County twice in the same week.
Timani Starks and Tiffany Horne have been charged with multiple counts of robbery and Starks is also being charged with attempted murder. Investigators say a home on Corriher Grange Road near Highway 152, was first held up Monday night.
NewsChannel 36 spoke exclusively with the Deadmon family after the first home invasion.
They told us how the robbers forced them to open the safe at gunpoint.
Timani Starks and Tiffany Horne
They reported the robbery to police, and they believe that's why the suspects returned.
The two men returned to the house again Friday afternoon, holding up the people inside.
When police arrived at the home, they found one man shot in the garage. He was wearing black clothing, a black mask and a bulletproof vest.
John-Ross Deadmon, who was held up inside the home, told investigators he believed he had shot that man.
He said a second man had run from the scene, while exchanging gunfire with him.
A man named Tiffany?
The article appears to be written by a 6th grader.
These are better for close range in small quarters...
What is that? It looks brutal. I mean that as a compliment.
So when the first load of buckshot doesn’t stop them due to the body armor, do you fire the second load to the face?
“Timani Starks and Tiffany Horne”
“The two men” ?
Full powered .357 or .44 Magnum loads at close range should do the job nicely even if they do not penetrate. The massive blunt force trauma and energy transfer can kill swiftly as well.
The following is a public service announcement.

Here's my tip of the month: there is still a great pistol and ammo deal out there waiting for you. If you have waited too long to arm up, or if you want one more, look at the excellent milsurp CZ-52 pistol and 7.62X25 Tokarev ammo.
You can get a CZ-52 for about $200 at any gun show or at many gun stores. You can also find them by googling around the internet. The ammo can be had for as low as 11 cents a bullet in any quantity you want. Extra mags are from $12 to $20 each.
The milsurp ammo is full metal jacket, firing an 85gr bullet at 1,600fps. These will go through car doors, kevlar helmets, kevlar vests etc like an icepick through butter. OTOH, they will also go through one bad guy and maybe hit a good guy behind him.
However, you can buy hollowpoints ("Wolf Gold" with brass shells) for about $19/50, or half the price of comparable 9mm JHPs. My test "Wolf Gold" JHP ammo expanded to .60 caliber, the same as my test 9mm JHPs.
So for $400, you could buy a CZ-52, 1,500 rounds of assorted ammo, and a few extra mags. OR, you could buy about 2/3s of a "brand name" pistol, and no ammo.
It's just a thought. This is a great bargain. The ammo is cheap and plentiful at all of the internet catalog sites. Don't wait, the libtards will soon slam the door on foreign gun and ammo imports, and the prices will go way up.
Another benefit of this pistol is that it is very accurate, with very fine sights. WIth this flat-shooting ammo, you can hit at 100 yards with ease. Downsides are brittle firing pins (buy a spare, and don't dry fire) and a decocking function that you should not trust. Just lower the SA hammer like a 1911. The safety works like a 1911, so if you are used to 1911s, it will be very easy to use the CZ-52
FN five-seven...
And a good one at that!
yeah, when I read the names i thought 2 girls were up to no good.
>> FN five-seven...
Doesn’t look like they’re for sale to civilians (except LEO). True?
It is for sale to civilians; even in Maryland. The AP ammo, however, is not.
There you go again.
You just love yankin' the chain of the FR gun snobs don't you ;-)
btw, If you have a C&R License a Russian Tokarev can also be had for around $200.00.
Its a tad 'prettier' than the CZ.(but you still need that extra firing pin).
What is a C&R License?
I also concur about the firing pins. I have access to a machine shop with full CNC and wire EDM capabilities, so I have some spares on hand and can make more if need be.
Curio & Relics Federal Firearms License. They are easy to get, inexpensive, and have minimal record keeping requirements. They allow you to take advantage of some good deals on surplus weapons and have them shipped directly to you, no middleman. Some sites such as Brownell’s and MidwayUSA will also extend dealer discounts to C&R holders.
My brother-in-law is named Tiffany...family name. He’s 6’2” ,230+lbs, call him “Big T”...or else.
I’ve never heard of a guy named Tiffany, but ok Big T it is.
Ah.. that can be your ticket to 'firearm freedom'.
It is a Curio and Relic License (Class 03) that you get from the BATF. It makes you an 'official firearm collector' (NOT A DEALER) and exempt from some Firearm Laws. The application is on the BATF website and you DO go through an extensive FBI Background Check. And need the 'approval' of your Local Police Chief - so forget Chi and NY
You can buy mostly 'Military Weapons' and others over 50 years old. The BATF issues a list of exempt firearms. I just got my renewed license and this time I was a bit concerned since Eric Holder is now in charge.
The cool thing is you can buy guns from the seat of your pants over the Internet and have them in two days.
Sounds like a future Gun Show loophole candidate for rabid liberals.
I've meant to get a CZ-52 almost from the day I got my 1st C&R but something else always came along. Like the Makarov(1) (9x18) and Star Model B(2) (9x19) I picked up. Then again when I went 'window shopping' and walked out with a 1858 New Army Remington (.44 Cal).
BTW, which would you say fits better in the hand, the CZ or the Tokarev?
I know that's subjective, but the CZ looks bigger (wider) and would be tough to control with 'smaller' hands.
(1) The Mak is East German and was used by the Stassi. The East German Maks are now very rare on the market.
(1) The Star was made by the Nazis for the Romanian Secret Police.
You're very welcome.
I'd suggest that anyone who can, by local law, get one, do so.
Another benefit besides Dealer Discounts at some gun stores that was mentioned, is that the BATF sends you the 'Big Book' with all the State and local Gun Laws across the nation.
the BATF finally wised up and put 'the book' on a CD. the print in the book was so small it made it had to read.
The Tokarev fits me better, and is more controllable than the CZ, but YMMV.
You’re most welcome.
Thanks. That's what I thought by the pictures.
You’re welcome
good info
No, you fire the first one to the face...
From that picture it is more "possibly" female than apparently.
