Phil is running for the open seat Beth Coulson who is running for Kirk’s house seat. The guy favored by the Tom Cross and the party brass is some dude named Hamilton Chang. Billyboy told me Chang is a RINO. All I know about him is is he’s a rich banker (great name for a rich guy) who was born in Taiwan.

The rats will be heavily targeting the seat with candidate Daniel Bliss who lost by 3 points to Coulson last year.

I was a lobbyist in Springfield when Jim Ryan was AG, he is not a RINO! He is a true conservative.

Having said that he is damaged and will need to survive the attack regarding all his baggage.

However he also brings baggage that is to his credit side -- several personal tragedies. He has battled cancer; his wife, Marie, nearly died of a heart attack; and the couple lost a daughter to brain cancer and a son who took his own life.

He is conservative, articulate, intelligent, and attractive. But there is a lot of baggage, and a lot of drama there.
