Why would they want to build a new data center to do what they have already done... years ago?

No need to crack SSL. It has to terminate somewhere. Just buy off/bribe/threaten whichever service it terminates at and work backwards from there (i.e Privacy.li wasn’t so private after all).

If they want to impress...crack PGP, Truecrypt or Drivecrypt (twofish).
