It is gonna be a BIG DAY!
The time change messed up my sleep schedule big time!
And YES this could be a big day!
15 minutes until Quinn and Rose... I can hardly wait.
Mornin’, yunz.
I still have NO idea whom to vote for, but I guess I’ll go vote today.
The rest of the races are pretty boring as well. Guess I'll just play it by ear.

Be sure to stop by today to wish Jim Robinson “happy birthday”!
Thanks, DollyCali, for posting!
Good morning everyone...I hope this the ‘Right’ day in NJ (I think VA and the NY23rd are done deals). The caller, Victor who talked about the black community in NJ was a gem. How spot on.
Quinn mentioned the Video “Wylie Avenue Days.”. My moms family were from the lower Hill District (end of Wylie by St. Benedict deMoor—they lost their house when it was taken to build the Civic Arena—the neighborhood, mostly Irish, was called Melody Tent.). My grandmother came over from Ireland as a teen to work as a domestic, and later she wound up working for a AA doc (she was his cook) in the Hill. They were ‘post racial’ back then...before all of the govt intervention. There were mansions, middle class streets...now...you hear about daily shootings in that area...that had “urban renewal.”
Quinn: re not getting ‘out’ of Planned Parenthood...is it like Scientology?
Oh wow. What a spot on quote.
Sadly it's become so common most of it isn't covered. When I managed a restoration/custom designer/build house we had a huge 3 story building on Penn avenue in Lawrenceville. It was right next door to the Stephen Foster home which is where the Wind Symphony director lived. Quite often you'd seee celebrities staying there...Beverly Sills and that sort.
I'm rambling...sorry.
The roof on our building was flat and a nice place to be especially when the Symphony put on it's annual free concert. My partner and I, our crew and all our families would dress up...go up to the roof have a catered dinner complete with wine and champaign.
It was a really nice time...until dark. If you were on that roof after 9pm or so you took your life in your hands. It sounded like a middle east battle with guns going off several times an hour and bullets sometimes whizzing by.
After a while you kinda got used to the shots and sirens and didn't hear the unless someone mentioned it.

Looks like I have to run. See yunz all tomorrow here or on the After Hours thread. It should be a FUN night!
Remember...Vote early and vote often..especially in NJ!
