I’d take Biden over obama ANYDAY! At least Biden loves this country and would, I would hope, stand up to our enemies.

I am not confident that Biden knows who our enemies are.

Even if he comes out and says "I guarantee everyone's taxes will go up 20% starting next year" it would help. Uncertainty is going to keep companies from hiring, but if they know what to expect for the next 3 years they can create their growth plan. (most companies do want to grow) Salaries may be lower if taxes are higher, but there will be jobs if companies know what to expect

I agree with your idea (confidence in the economy) but I believe your focus is misplaced. Businesses run production and services based on real and expected demand. They do not overproduce in hope. The confidence necessary to get the economy going is in the consumer. The American consumer is the engine of the American economy.

The unemployment rate is certainly a factor in our recessing economy but the much larger impact is the 50%-60% of folks in the nation that are worried about their jobs and how they are going to support their families if they should lose their jobs. There are no statistics for the amount of people that have had to change jobs in the last 18 months. The only people I personally know that are not worried about losing the job work for the government or are doctors. We are in a recession because more than half the people in the nation have cut their own spending in preparation of what they hope will not happen. The businesses start to "grow" again when there is more of a demand for their product and not a moment before then.
