Be prepared to see more of Levi Johnston than you ever wanted to see. The 19-year-old who fathered a baby born out of wedlock to Sarah Palin's teenage daughter Bristol is about to pose nude for Playgirl magazine. Also, with Palin's book "Going Rogue" set for release this month, some publications may follow Vanity Fair's example in October by granting the high school dropout a byline.
In that piece, Johnston claimed that Palin did not nurture her children - or cook or clean - while husband Todd tinkered in the garage or slept on a black recliner in the living room.
This sort of Vanity Fair piece need not include verification by other sources, but there must be a paragraph with a seedy nugget in it. So Johnston wrote that the former Alaska governor sometimes called her Down syndrome son Trig "the retarded baby."
Appearing on CBS' "The Early Show" last week, Johnston released his latest salvo: "If I really wanted to hurt (Palin), I could, very easily, but I'm not going to do it, I'm not going that far."
Not yet, anyway.
Johnston garners more ink in British than American newspapers. But he frequently is fodder for left-wing blogs and among pundits who concoct phrases like "Wasilla hillbilly" - and cannot let go. He is the scratch for the itch of partisans so anxious to feel superior to Palin that they will consume any negative story about her, no matter how tainted. MSNBC talking heads like to bring up Levi Johnston.
Methinks if Fox News aired similar stories about a Democrat's daughter, there would be news stories questioning the right-leaning network's news judgment. After all, the accusations of an underemployed 19-year-old - who has a career incentive to dish out dirt on Palin - are not exactly credible.

This little section speaks volumes. No verification of facts and I suspect the later statement will not go unchallenged.

Sarah really should stop issuing statements on this. If she must, then make a simple, “We all are sorry he felt he had to say that” and leave it at that.

2.I would imagine most governors don’t cook or clean for themselves, they are pretty busy. Is he showing his sexist side in implying that because she is a woman she should be doing the cooking and cleaning?
3.Todd tinkering in the garage and sleeping in the recliner? Sounds like about ten million homes in America!

Liberals don’t believe in fathers taking responsibility for the child...they believe it’s the government’s responsibility, or the village’s responsibility and when they have examples like Levi Johnston, it gives them street cred to raise taxes out the wazoo to raise the child the majority of which will be used to buy votes while the child gets tofu and gov’ment cheese.
Why the hell didn’t some burly town Cop talk some sense into this kid? Should have did 2 yrs in the AirForce or Navy then Community College, for starters. Instead he is a wantabee stripper or darn near it, and is not raising his kid. Stupid is and Stupid does.....

I'd already seen more of him than I ever wanted to see, the second he stepped on stage at the Republican convention.
Sarah is long overdue to learn the wisdom of saying “No comment”. Levi’s seemingly interminable 15 minutes of fame is almost entirely reliant on Sarah’s dignifying his vulgar yakkings with detailed responses.
I seriously doubt that the Air Force, Navy , or Army is desperate enough for recruits to take this messed up kid. I doubt he could stay off drugs long enough to even pass the drug screen.
Actually I thought she and Scott Peterson was a match made in heaven, or where ever, until Levi came on the scene.

FREEPERS really got this guy wrong. When Sarah brought him on stage, we all were so excited. We were duped big time! It is a shame that he turned out this way.
It reminds me of watching someone succumbing to a drug habit. You can't feel too sorry for him - he's pushing the needle in himself. But the people tempting him with celebrity and more money than he could make honestly bear a share of the responsibility too. It isn't Sarah who is using this young man, and it isn't Sarah who will throw him into the gutter when his use is done. Sad thing to watch, and it tells one a lot more about Vanity Fair and their ilk than it does either Levi or the Palins.

So the idea is to have a high school dropout who knocks up high school girls criticize the mother and father of the girl he knocked up? The liberals have really lost it if they think this is a game plan.
At that time I think everyone believed that Levi would marry Bristol. I don't think that was an unreasonable assumption but one that most people would expect. I personally was hoping that there might have been genuine love or at least some amount of affection and sense of doing the right thing. What I don't think anyone foresaw that not only was there no honor with this guy, but some sort of vindictiveness or exploitation with him. I don't know what happened with the falling out between him and the Palin's but he chose the wrong horse to bet on. If the Palin's put the stop to the wedding, then it's to their credit.
