President Obama's overall approval rating is still at a healthy 54 percent, but a new poll suggests some weakness on major issues.
The CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey released this morning shows his approval rating down from 58 percent in the same poll in mid-September.
More worrisome for the White House, the poll numbers have flipped from majority approval to majority disapproval on the economy (54 percent disapproval now, 54 percent approval in September), health care policy (57 percent disapproval now, 51 percent approval then), and the war in Afghanistan (56 percent disapproval now, 49 percent approval in August.)

These polls are all over the board...........I thought obama was under 50%? That’s where the real polling is, and should be. The libs are messing with the polls again, is all. No worries - in 2012, ACORN better be gone, and then obama’s chances of winning again will be at all-time lows.
if CNN is reporting 54% then the real number is likely around 45-47

Everyone is still too PCized to admit they don’t like Obamao. It’s his policies making everyone miserable, but that numbness will wear out as things get worse. Let’s see......54% approval of Obama, but the majority disapprove of his handling of the economy, health care and the war. I’m still trying to figure this out. It’s like saying that other than the ownership, management, coaches and players, I approve of the team. Insane or bogus?

Recently, I heard a female college student say in a very public area “I am so supportive of Obama....” followed by “I am studying corporate law...” followed by “I’m going to stick it to those corporate white guys.” No lie! I would hazard to guess her nationality. This is what is being produced.

The MSM will try with all their might to show by massaging the internals that a majority still support BHO. But this will be harder and harder to pull off as time goes by.
Rasmussen polls likely voters and has a fairly accurate percentage via Dems, INDs, and Repubs (I still think he's overcounting dems a little). CNN, on the other hand, per their article:
The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll was conducted October 30 through November 1, with 1,018 adult Americans questioned by telephone. The survey's sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
Their poll is all ADULTS, hardly an accurate measurein politics, as most adults don't vote. Their split was probably 39% dems, 23 % Repubs, and 29 IND. Usually outrageous and not at all accurate.

The 54% is a personal approval number. You know, "he hasn't a freakin CLUE what the hell he is doing but he's a good guy"
When you consider and understand that then all the other numbers make perfect sense. And yes, most assuredly yes, 54% of the people in this country can certainly be that stupid.
rasmussen has 46% approval for obama.
(total of both strong support and mild support)
The polling difference is because Rasmussen uses “likely voters” while other polls just tally everyone
