I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand many years ago. It was apparent that smoking ganja was a pretty low-class thing to do.

I can agree with this if they just leave it as is. “Medical marijuana” is a crock of poop. Just decriminalize small amounts, fine.

Breckenridge was a sea of Obama campaign signs before the election. The place leans extremely toward the libertine left.

I think its a stupid thing to do.And thankfully enough voters chose to preserve liberty and allow Americans to choose to do stupid things. Liberty has that funny quality.

Watch for a rise in the number of skiing accidents.
To: lowbridge
There is nothing conservative about a nanny state. I was in the ski industry for twenty years. Most of the biggest pro names in the business smoke as much as any Rastafarian: while skiing. It's part of the culture. There won't be any increase in accidents.

Headline is incorrect - the town cannot supersede state law. They may have voted to legalize pot but they didn't legalize it.

Breck is nothing more than Alta Boulder! They'll have to fight Steamboat for that title.

but they didn't legalize itThey did, WRT the town's laws. City police will not arrest for possession now (if they ever did before...) But you are right in that county or state officers could still arrest someone (if the county has an ordinance against it.) Just a lot fewer of them around to worry about.

But you are right in that county or state officers could still arrest someone Colorado has largely decriminalized pot. Posession of an ounce or less is a summary offense.

What the heck, they are all wasted on the “kine bud” as it is now.
