I think you mean it was a tactical loss. “Strategic” refers to things of long-lasting, fundamental, game-changing import. “Tactical” refers to temporary, local, balance-of-power-preserving events.
It was me , not ‘mo’, who said that she ‘sat back’-he was quoting me at the beginning. ‘Sat back’ was just a figure of speech, since I meant it to indicate they she became a figure of inertia once she ‘suspended’ her campaign, and stopped ‘campaigning’, instead deciding to let the Dem Owens benefit from her virtual candidacy, as she asked her supporters to vote for him. This move should have been a major embarrassment for Steele and Gingrich not to mention all RINO Pubbies in that district, but how will they spin it?

You are correct - tactical loss.
Thanks for the local expertise - being from out of state, I am just repeating the comments by pundits and those in the know.
Good luck next November.
Branches of my family have been in the area for 270 years, if Scuzzy had pulled out and Hoffman had been endorsed by the Pubby hierarchy, Hoffman would have won. Good show on small resorses
The big loser in this race was the New York State GOP. It ran a Democrat-clone candidate who bolted out of the race and ended up endorsing the actual Democrat. Come on!
Hoffman fought a good fight, and there’s always November 2010.
