The Nolanville Fire Department tells News Channel 25 that they've been asked to bring all available EMS and Rescue personnel.

Update 2:17 Temple ISD Schools Have Been locked down as part of this incident. The district’s spokeswoman tells News Channel 25 Temple Police are placing officers at each TISD campus. The schools will dismiss as usual.

FORT HOOD - All available EMS units in and around Killeen are being dispatched to Fort Hood where a “mass casualty event” has taken place.
The Nolanville Fire Department tells News Channel 25 that they’ve been asked to bring all available EMS and Rescue personnel.
We’ve learned an incident has taken place at the sports dome, now known as the soldier readiness area.
Darnall Army Community Hospital reports they have received numerous victims. The spokeswoman could not confirm what types of injuries the victims were suffering.
Temple ISD Schools Have Been locked down as part of this incident. The district’s spokeswoman tells News Channel 25 Temple Police are placing officers at each TISD campus. The schools will dismiss as usual.

FORT HOOD (November 5, 2009)-Army officials have confirmed a violent incident has happened Thursday afternoon on post.
The reports indicate there may be at least twelve and maybe even as many as fifteen victims involved in this incident.
Details have not been released but it is known that ambulances and police are converging on a location in the center of the sprawling military post.
Ambulances from several agencies have been dispatched.
One unconfirmed report indicates an armed gunman has fired several shots and may have hit several people.
Ft. Hood officials report the area is not secure.

They better announce immediately if it looks like a Muslim terrorist attack so other places can go on alert.
Exactly right, Temple is over 30 MILES away from Ft. Hood.

KILLEEN, Texas - Officials at the Fort Hood Army Base in Killeen say seven people are dead and at least 12 are wounded in a mass shooting on the Fort property.
The attack apparently happened at the Soldier Readiness Center.
Don’t know if it’s accurate but Shep is reporting 2 people in custody.
Fort Hood is an Army Base. Kileen, TX is the city next to it.
Shep SMith reported that the local station (not sure whether radio or TV) said there were TWO suspects with one in custody. Dressed in army fatigues.
Please note that this is initial information, which often turns out to be false or misinterpreted. I am only posting what Shep said.

And if someone is on a rampage, sometimes it helps to keep others OUT.
If the EMS is speeding to one location in an emergency, it kind of leaves open another target elsewhere in a small town.
In the Middle East, they’ve even been known to detonate another bomb AFTER emergency crews arrive.
