We still don’t know what was behind the killings at Ft. Hood this afternoon, in which 11 soldiers and the killer died, but President Obama’s rushed press conference was surprising in its flippancy nonetheless. Before he got to the issue on everyone’s mind — namely the deaths of Americans in uniform — the president gave a “shout-out” to government bureaucrats gathered for a previously scheduled conference at the Interior Department, complete with appreciative chuckles. He treated the event like a pep rally rather than a tragic occasion with a wider audience than those gathered in the room. I wonder how many media outlets will compare Obama’s performance to President Bush’s “Pet Goat” moment on 9/11. I won’t hold my breath.
The MSM will simply edit out the first 2 1/2 minutes and rewrite history.
Even coming from that immature idiot, my jaw dropped when I saw his “shout out”.

That is what they are showing, as if his remarks began with addressing the shooting.

Obama is happy about the deaths.
It is inapproriate for the President to give a shout out in the first place so in this instance it was just inexcusable...a clear indicator of who the guy is. A two bit loser.
My jaw dropped, then my blood pressure rose. A “shout out” to a Medal of Honor recipient, who, I hope, was embarrassed and sickened.
This is why I was ranting around the office...
I kept thinking that maybe he didn't know about it yet and was about to be whispered the event like Bush on 9/11.
Now I know exactly what to think. Grrrrrr......

On a side note, this is the half-hour that the national nightly news programs should be on TV here (I’m right at Fort Hood). My local CBS and NBC affiliates have chosen to stay on the air, however, rather than let New York tell them what happened here today. I’ve never seen that before. Good for my local affiliates!!

Notice the applause was very scant when Mao gave his shout out.
His statement was something like "and I want to give a shout out to my friend, Joe Medicine Crow, Congressional Medal of Honor winner."
Dr. Joseph Medicine Crow is a distinguished historian of the Crow nation. Please note...he's a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Bronze Star Medal, the Congressional Gold Medal and the Légion d'honneur. Not the Congressional Medal of Honor. Medicine Crow did serve in the 103rd Infantry Division in World War II, and won a Bronze Star for it. But NOT a CMOH. Ever.

0bama was playing the crowd for laughs and looked like he was on the campaign trail.

But the bad rap GWB got, nobody’s going to duplicate by criticizing Zero. Different standards for affirmative action presidents.

Obama is clearly not a good speaker without a TelePrompter. This is just one more example. I wouldn’t read much more into it than that.

Forget the telepromter. This moment showed us exactly what 0bama thinks of the military that he is presently ignoring in Afganistan and only using them for photo opps when they come back dead. I remain disgusted but not surprised.

As long as we’re straightening things out, the name of the award is the Medal of Honor, not the Congressional Medal of Honor.
I’d hate to see the likes of Nancy Lugosi or the other demtards associated with the Medal in any way.
