Caterpillar Controversy Discloses Deep Evolutionary Disagreement
ICR News ^ | November 5, 2009 | Brian Thomas, M.S.

Posted on 11/05/2009 6:15:26 PM PST by GodGunsGuts

In August 2009, retired University of Liverpool marine biologist Donald Williamson officially challenged the standard Darwinian interpretation of caterpillar origins. His paper was fast-tracked to publication by a “high-placed advocate,”[1] but shortly afterward his ideas were rebutted in the very same journal. While this back-and-forth exchange has sparked intense criticism over the submission and review processes that were used, the situation also reveals core problems with broad-scale evolution...

The Darwinism myth is slowly being dismantled. The inadequacies of natural selection, the lack of gradually changing fossils, the complexity of gene regulation, it’s all coming together to drain the warm slimy pool of Darwinism. Batboy? That sounds like a better “reconstruction” than Ardi! Bring out the bones!

Argumentum ad Hominem :

The fallacy of attacking the character or circumstances of an individual who is advancing a statement or an argument instead of trying to disprove the truth of the statement or the soundness of the argument. Often the argument is characterized simply as a personal attack.

1. The personal attack is also often termed an "ad personem argument": the statement or argument at issue is dropped from consideration or is ignored, and the locutor's character or circumstances are used to influence opinion.

2. The fallacy draws its appeal from the technique of "getting personal." The assumption is that what the locutor is saying is entirely or partially dictated by his character or special circumstances and so should be disregarded.

Ad Hominem is not a valid debate tactic. Pictures, Images and Photos

... you are saying that the scientific method is not based on beliefs or assumptions?

That's right,

My late Army brother (three Bronze Stars out of Vietnam) put it this way: "Assumption is the mother of bleepup."

It is you who don't understand the origin of the word Luddite. Otherwise you would know that it is your fellow jackbooted Temple of Darwin fanatics who are trying to crush the scientific debate over origins. It is you who are the 5 year old--a 5 year old who still needs to have his diapers changed.

PS Creationists have a comprehensive, testable explanation for life's origin, whereas the evos have got zip. And in case that has produced a question mark over your FreeDumb head, the Temple of Darwin has no explanation for the origin of life! But they don't call you FreeDumb for nothing, so let me put this in a way that you might, just might, understand:

challenged by Creationists or IDers to debate in public or in print

Creationist: Believes in God.

IDer: Doesn't believe in God.

Why do you support the anti-God people?

So it is your contention that science does not assume an orderly Universe that make it possible to make scientific predictions?

False. Even most of the Christian schools DO NOT teach YEC. Why is that?

So you are saying that the scientific method is not based on beliefs or assumptions?

You're joking,right?

All these threads mocking science, and you are ignorant of the most basic premise that true science is built upon?

UNBELIEVABLE!

There is no debate. Bring a scientific alternative or shut up.

>>It is you who are the 5 year old—a 5 year old who still needs to have his diapers changed.<<

Says sir smelly-shorts.

>>PS Creationists have a comprehensive, testable explanation for life’s origin, whereas the evos have got zip.<<

No they don’t. Your cartoon says it better than I possibly could. It is you who rely on an active supernatural process to complete your childish and ignorant picture. Thanks for making my point.

>>And in case that has produced a question mark over your FreeDumb head, the Temple of Darwin has no explanation for the origin of life! But they don’t call you FreeDumb for nothing, so let me put this in a way that you might, just might, understand: <<

I named myself and your typical use of my name when you have no argument is amusing.

Repeating yourself and adding insults just tells the world that you have nothing else. And you continue to be an embarrassment to Conservatives. Fortunately for Conservatives everywhere, there are enough of us who understand science to tell the world that ignorant fools like you are tolerated but not admired.

the Temple of Darwin has no explanation for the origin of life!

It has been pointed out to you several time that the evolutionary theory does not address the origins of life.

“It is no valid objection that science as yet throws no light on the far higher problem of the essence or origin of life” (Darwin, Charles. The Origin of Species. 6th edition, 1882. p. 421

Does Exodus 20:16 not apply to you?

Batboy is equivalent to the other articles posted by icr. Actually, it (Batboy) has a slightly higher reasonableness factor than the fantasies and purposeful ignorance “published” by icr.
