No human likes to kill other (atleast in the retrospect). Imagine the burden on the psychiatrist, who helps the soldier ease the pain. I think somehow the psychiatrist helped soldiers ease the pain by killing them (kind of a mercy killing). The news dont report some soldiers killing themselves after they come back from occupation (its not war) or not choosing to fight. It could be just a chance that psychiatrist has a name of a muslim.

This man-in-the-street objective eye from overseas (India), generally devoid of and unfettered from political correctness should be interesting for many Americans to read, and then reflect on what or what not their own US media might be telling or holding back about Major Nidal Malik Hasan.
Religion always comes first, that's not the problem. The problem is that Islam is at odds with a free society. Islam and personal liberty are mutually exclusive. That is the problem.
Essentially the guy (an Arab poster responding in the comments section to the news article on Hasan's attack) rejoices and says (paraphrase) "See Ft. Hood is from where they carried out the attacks on our brothers in Fallujah, so it is good to see them getting a taste of their own medicine" (sic). Also this buzzard seems to heap some praise on C.A.I.R. for standing up with a statement, despite even perhaps FBI harrassment (whatever that means).
These people make me sick.

Our friends in Bombay (Mumbai)know the danger in tolerance of Islam as well as anyone. Is either our State Department nor DOD engaged with them in the WAR on Terror (Islam)??
They just said it was over, and well, its over I guess. At the least press thinks the guy was just a nut and we are not at war.

If you are still in Tokyo, maybe you missed how Obama initially addressed terrorism at Ft. Hood. He looked and acted like a spinless twit. America is in the hands of a looser extraordinaire. Dozo.

Thirteen dead and 31 wounded would be a bad day for the US military in Afghanistan, and a great victory for the Taliban. When it happens in Texas, in the heart of the biggest military base in the nation, at a processing center for soldiers either returning from or deploying to combat overseas, it is not merely a “tragedy” (as too many people called it) but a glimpse of a potentially fatal flaw at the heart of what we have called, since 9/11, the “war on terror”. Brave soldiers trained to hunt down and kill America’s enemy abroad were killed in the safety and security of home by, in essence, the same enemy – a man who believes in and supports everything the enemy does.
And he’s a US Army major.
And his superior officers and other authorities knew about his beliefs but seemed to think it was just a bit of harmless multicultural diversity – as if believing that “the Muslims should stand up and fight against the aggressor” (ie, his fellow American soldiers) and writing Internet paeans to the “noble” “heroism” of suicide bombers and, indeed, objectively supporting the other side in an active war is to be regarded as just some kind of alternative lifestyle that adds to the general vibrancy of the base.
When it emerged early on Thursday afternoon that the shooter was Nidal Malik Hasan, there appeared shortly thereafter on Twitter a flurry of posts with the striking formulation: “Please judge Major Malik Nadal [sic] by his actions and not by his name.”

So, he "self medicates" in some manner. I proposed he used hard narcotics ~ that being a traditional way.
He went deeper into his religion to seek relief ~ that's also a traditional way. There are vast numbers of people who do this.
So, he's into dope, into religion, and IT DOESN'T WORK.
You usually can get away with this only so long and then people will notice. Let's say someone at the mosque "noticed".
As we have learned with the Islamic suicide bombers, there are people within the Islamic milieu quite willing to take advantage of the mentally retarded, the poor, and those who are highly disturbed and turn them into mass murderers.
Happens all the time.
Probably be a good idea for the investigators to determine if this puke was self-medicating, and at the same time find out who in the mosque he attended turned him to killing innocent people. Once we wrap that up we can try him, convict him, and hopefully bring out an old fashioned electric chair to dispose of him. Frankly, we need to have a dramatization of his crimes and then switch to the switch being thrown, and quickly to his smoking head!
