American? Canadian? British? Good grief that was a lousy written story.
It most certain is badly written but perhaps that is all that has been released at the moment.
BBC is saying 2 foreign soldiers - so I suppose they are not British.
Alot of people don't know this but there is film of Al Queda turning him into a human IED. Interesting no one is reporting this...probably not enough DNA left to "confirm" IMHO. I feel sorry for these 2...bleak outlook.
Yes I remember that incident but never saw the video you mentioned.
Western Afghanistan is were Helmand Province is and if it is not British (based on the scroll the BBC has about 2 foreign soldiers,)then the chances are they are Americans.
Still, that is just speculation
were = where
Two soldiers are missing in western Afghanistan after failing to return from a routine resupply mission two days ago, Nato officials have said.
“Exhaustive” search and rescue operations were being carried out to try and locate the soldiers, Nato said.
In a statement, Nato did not give the soldiers’ nationalities or say which province they had been in when they went missing.
Military officials said the families of the two soldiers had been informed.
The service members disappeared near Afghanistan’s border with Turkmenistan, in the town of Bala Morghab and the province of Baghdis, said Sayed Ahmad Sami, the provincial police chief. They were last known to have been somewhere close to the Morghab River.
We still do not know the nationalities.
Nato added that three of its troops were killed in two separate roadside bomb attacks on Thursday. Two of the soldiers were American, but the nationality of the third was not given.
It seems to be a desolate place but there has been plenty of fighting going on around there.
