Dede Scozzafava, the Republican nominee who issued an election eve endorsement of Democrat Bill Owens in the Nov. 3 New York special election, will meet with Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb Monday to discuss whether she will be stripped of her Assembly leadership position.
POLITICO has learned that Kolb will announce after the face-to-face meeting whether Scozzafava, the Minority Leader Pro Tempore, will remain as the GOP floor leader.
“Fundamentally my members are very disappointed with her endorsement of Bill Owens and aiding him in helping achieve the Nancy Pelosi health care plan in Washington,” Kolb said.
Scozzafava’s last-minute endorsement, issued one day after she dropped out of the race, gave Owens a key boost in the close race and helped deliver a congressional seat held by the GOP for more than a century to the Democratic Party.
Owens defeated Conservative Party nominee Doug Hoffman 49 percent to 46 percent, with Scozzafava, whose name remained on the ballot, pulling in 5 percent.

There is no way to objectively could look at the scuzzyfava record and believe she is anything other than a democrat.
“She denies she was making that decision on emotions, but she was hurt by the attacks coming from inside and outside the state,” he said. “She was hurt, and that drove that decision, in my opinion…I expressed extreme disappointment in that decision.”

I guess if we had all kept quiet, and the popular Dede had remained in the race, Owens might have won with 39 percent or so.

Perhaps they can schedule a conference for the purpose of seeing if forming a committee to study the ramifications of beginning a process to remove her is a good idea?
If the NY Republicans need Dede for “leadership” in the Assembly, they might as well disband now.
Oops, I mean to say Hoffman might have won if we had been quiet, but probably not. I would imagine that Hoffman’s conservatism frightened many NY Republican voters.
I honest to God have no problem with “moderates” in the GOP. Nor do I think that all moderates are RINO’s. Just don't try to cram a leftist down the party bases throat and try to tell us that the leftist is a moderate.
If these nerds were good conservatives, they should have been breathing fire over it, not expressing disappointment.

If I’m the GOP leader she’s expelled from the caucus as soon as she endorses Owens. But that’s just me, I’m not very inclusive when it comes to leftist traitors.
This is exactly why the GOP is dying. The party isn’t on life-support, it is a walking dead man. There is a cancer so deep that it can’t be saved. It isn’t like an old house that can be renovated with conservative ideals “once we git inside there”.
