Hasan, the sole suspect in the massacre of 13 fellow US soldiers in Texas, attended the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia, in 2001 at the same time as two of the September 11 terrorists, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt. His mother's funeral was held there in May that year.
The preacher at the time was Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born Yemeni scholar who was banned from addressing a meeting in London by video link in August because he is accused of supporting attacks on British troops and backing terrorist organisations.

Not to brag, but I called this as mosque-related the day it happened.
He was part of 0bama's transition team.
Doesn't that make you feel all warm and fuzzy?
Read this book by former Palestinian terrorist, Walid Shoebat.
Why do I have to read about this in the BRITISH press?
Maybe the question is rhetorical...
Let’s see the media spin their way out of this one.

Yes, but shaking them up and down, not sideways.

Yes, but shaking them up and down, not sideways.
IIRC, the last message from Usama and/or his henchman said to take initiative as individuals and attack people of the uSA. (Something like that)
I don’t think that’s true —I think he attended meeting of the team though. On the other hand he was a member of the homeland security HSPI team.
find a pic of mohammed atta and put it side by side with malik nissan something. the same dead eyes, the same shaved body, this is terrorism.
Nothing to see here, move along /s
Remember, we shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions - our PINO said so.
Here we go.
The question is how normal is mainstream Islam?
How radical is mainstream Islam?
Let’s not jump to conclusions LOL.
Because the U.S. media is on the side of the jihadists.
What’s a link to the info about the shooter’s being on BHO’s transition team? I read it somewhere today, but don’t know where. Duh.
you can google Hasan Obama transition team. I did it yesterday and found several sources.
Amazing thing is real news is reported outside our country because PRAVDA refuses to tell the American people the truth.
I think we all knew what it was shortly after it happened.
Obama doesn’t care because he worshipped at a church led by a radical preacher and associated with domestic terrorists that had blown up the Pentagon and Police stations.
The Left and Radical Islam have many things in common.
You wrote:
“So much for post traumatic stress disorder and the other nnsense our media is peddling”
Yeah, but doesn’t really tick you off that (once again!) the UK press is way ahead of ours?
It disgusts me.
Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia ... Virginia has a welcome mat out for these killers, doesn’t it?
They do not have to spin what they do not report.
Here it is. This one is from the Canada press. Seems like the Canadians and Brittish are willing to do the reporting the US media is not. Our MSM is still going on about PTSD in a guy who didn’t serve in combat. Unfreakin believable.

LIES, LIES and MORE LIES.
Just sick of the horsesh!t.
You and me both.
I don’t think going to a mosque for a funeral during the same months that 9/11 terrorists were passing through constitutes a link.
The first casualty of war is truth.
bttt
He was NOT a member of Obama’s transition team.
When you google it, you see that all of the reports point back to Hasan’s attendance at a meeting in May 2009. Hasan attended a session of meetings held by the George Washington University Homeland Security Policy Institute (HSPI), in May 2009. He registered for it like any other academic or professional conference and sat in the audience.
Thus he is listed, like all the other attendees, as a “participant.” The organization itself at other times sent letters recommending policies they endorsed to the Presdient. This is known as “lobbying.” It is incredibly common - when you write a letter or call, you also are “lobbying.”
There is absolutely no evidence that Hasan had anything to do with setting or writing the statements or the reports. There is no evidence that he even asked a question at the seminars, which were attended by hundreds of military, terrorism and security professionals.
Hasan attended a large conference on an anti-terrorism and security. The organizers sent a copy of the conference proceedings to the President. There is no evidence at all that he ever read the, much less based policy on them.
This is NOT what being an “advisor” consists of.
And it was in May 2009 - months long *after* the transition had ended in January.
There are a lot of inaccuracies and hyperbole flying around about this terrible occurrence. Let’s not spread them ourselves.
Hey! The commander-in-chief said NOT to rush to any conclusions.
I believe I read the article differently than you do. I read it as saying he ATTENDED the mosque at the same time AND his mother’s funeral was there. I don’t know about you, but generally funeral services are held in places where the deceased and his/her family had a relationship.
It wasn’t just a funeral, but he was attending regularly.
“Hasan’s eyes “lit up” when he mentioned his deep respect for al-Awlaki’s teachings, according to a fellow Muslim officer at the Fort Hood base in Texas, the scene of Thursday’s horrific shooting spree. “
“PTSD in a guy who didnt serve in combat....”
Insane, n’est pas? Maybe they should try to sell: “PTSD by proxy”.
It is interesting to note that while driving through Washington DC today, there were noticeably MORE police than usual with heavier weapons than usual guarding government buildings. The government may be telling us this was a lone ranger, but it’s obvious they don’t believe that themselves.
Didn’t you hear Diane Sawyer? She wondered aloud (maybe quoting someone) “What if his last name was Smith?”
PC will kill us all unless we reject it!
Terrorist, yes. I was talking about a mosque being his “training grounds.”
If that constitutes a link, then perhaps we should detain all the people who heard Anwar al-Awlaki preach.
And I’ve been to funerals where the deceased was not a regular, the family simply hired a nicer, or bigger, or more famous church than the one they normally attended (or even did not have a regular church).
Maybe there is a link but the Telegaph is going to have to try harder.
I wonder if Able Danger ran across the name Nidal Malik Hasan.
American Muslims demand that they not be stereotyped Ok but here's the problem.
Haven't those Muslims heard of Islamism?
Apparently neither have many in the state controlled American media (SCAM).
I expect that few "news" articles say anything about Islamism.
It is American Muslims and SCAM who stereotype Muslims by ignoring Islamism.
.. then again, maybe they are all afraid of being killed if they criticize Islamists.
They say—their words—he”worshipped there”..Perhaps you’d like an attendance sheet?
They say—their words—he”worshipped there”..Perhaps you’d like an attendance sheet?
But wait...he had a bumper sticker removed from his car!
Actually they say he “prayed there”
“Hasan’s eyes “lit up” when he mentioned his deep respect for al-Awlaki’s teachings, according to a fellow Muslim officer at the Fort Hood base in Texas, the scene of Thursday’s horrific shooting spree.
As investigators look at Hasan’s motives and mindset, his attendance at the mosque could be an important piece of the jigsaw. Al-Awlaki moved to Dar al-Hijrah as imam in January, 2001, from the west coast, and three months later the September 11 hijackers Nawaf al-Hamzi and Hani Hanjour began attending his services. A third hijacker attended his services in California.
Hasan was praying at Dar al-Hijrah at about the same time, and the FBI will now want to investigate whether he met the two terrorists. “
They claim he worshiped there in the intro, and later said “Hasan was praying at Dar al-Hijrah at about the same time, and the FBI will now want to investigate whether he met the two terrorists. “
The article also places him at Virginia Tech. Do you suppose that the same pressures that acted on the VT shooter (Cho Seung-Hui) worked on Hasan?
Do you think there is a link between Hasan and Cho Seung-Hui? The article makes some sort of link by including that fact.
The FBI is looking for the equivalent of an attendance sheet. They’ll determine when and how often and on what dates he was there, and when the 911 terrorists were there, and assess the probability of a meeting between Hasan and the 911 crew. If the Telegraph reporter has this confirmatory data, he did not put it into the article. He did speculate at a connection, since Hasan and the 911 guys were in the same building, possibly (but not surely) at the same time.
I think the paper’s point and mine is not that Hasan coordinated with the 9/11 hijackers—a possibility as you note=—but whether this vitriolic imam is a dangerous provocateur, encouraging such conduct and /or coordinating these things with others. In other words, it is the nexus with the imam ,not the hijackers, that is the point for the moment.
Agreed.
