Why Obama is Blind to Terror... & Freedom
Townhall.com ^ | November 8, 2009 | Kevin McCullough

Posted on 11/08/2009 4:55:04 AM PST by Kaslin

In the hours following the shooting at Ft. Hood, President Obama demonstrated resolute apathy to the greatest issue of our time. His callous and apathetic beliefs caused some rather unbecoming behavior for a United States President. And worse yet the American people are the one's who will suffer... And they noticed.

Roughly two and a half hours after the shooting that took the lives of American service personnel, on American soil, President Obama was scheduled to deliver a speech to a Tribal Nations Conference being sponsored by the U.S. Government. Once the President was told of the Ft. Hood shooting, the White House team made the decision to go forward with the conference and that the President would deliver his previously prepared remarks.

Once the President was given the stage, the news networks of the world zoomed in on the otherwise little-noticed conference. The President spent several minutes at the beginning of his time giving introductory remarks. He gave "shout-outs" to his "homies" in the crowd. He also apparently attributed a Congressional Medal of Honor to someone in the room. The only problem being that the man in question had not in fact ever received the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Eventually he turned his remarks to the violence of the afternoon and laid some less than "Obama-esque" sentiment on the gathered crowd and the watching networks.

But the rank and sophomoric way he began the speech was off-putting. Commentators for NBC even wrote in shock at the President's lack of protocol, sensitivity, or even awareness of the pain the nation was feeling at that moment roughly two hours after the drama began.

But if all that was merely an innocent mistake by an increasingly wet-behind-the-ears rookie some nine months after taking office, what was to be revealed within the hour would be stomach churning.

In his remarks President Obama called for everyone to remain calm and to not jump to conclusions about the cause, rationale, and motivation behind the shooting incident.

Evidently what President Obama meant was for the average American to disengage their mind from the truth his lying eyes and ears easily showed them.

Within the hour Stephen Hayes reported on "the panel" on Fox News' Special Report that sources inside the Obama administration's FBI leadership had confirmed that the investigation was not to be giving any discussion to the possible merits of connecting the shooting at Ft. Hood to terrorism.

Incredible...

A man yells, "Allah Akbar" before unloading his weapon, after posting repeatedly on pro-terrorist web-sites for months, and had been ranting about not being forced to serve in Iraq nor Afghanistan because he objected to the purposes of the U.S. Military in those regions, but his connections to terrorism were not to be "considered."

How could such a posture come about in the FBI? We real Americans would like to know.

Only a day previous the President demonstrated that he had genuine perception problems as it related to another concept: freedom.

After Prime Minister Angela Merckel's gracious visit the Obama administration went out of their way to publicize the fact that the President would have no part in recognizing the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

The Berlin Wall of course represented everything America stood in opposition to, and it was an American President and not a Soviet agent that ultimately caused it to fall. So why wouldn't President Obama wish to do the simple act of honor to his OWN nation and the cause of liberty universally and pay homage to a date the unified the German people after many years of separation?

Perhaps it very simply boils down to the fact that this President does not make a distinction between a free state, and an enslaved one. Perhaps this President does not believe that life under Soviet cruelty was something we should pronounce a judgment about. Perhaps this is also the reason he sees little difference between the dictators in Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba and countries that seek to live under self-determination, democracy, independence, and liberty.

I believe that in our President's way of thinking there is no moral distinction between America, our service men and women, our citizens, and the masses gathered at the university of Cairo in Egypt. It was in that speech after all that he equated the values of Islam and America as one and the same. He calls us one of the largest Muslim nations on earth. (We are 80th on that list.)

If President Obama cannot see the value of the freedoms we cherish, why not throw some "shout outs" in light of national suffering?

After all we're not considering it a terrorist attack... right?

Given the Illegal Alien's anti-military and anti-American views, the really interesting thing will be what happens when the military authorities have to decide whether to give Purple Hearts to the service people who were killed and wounded in this Islamofascist massacre. Remember, a serive person only gets a Purple Heart for being killed or wounded by enemy action in a war. If, like Max Cleland, he gets injured in an acident, even though in a war, he doens't qualify for a purple heart. Indeed, if this massacre had been by an officer who was angry over being denied a promotion, none of the victims would be entitled to a Purple Heart. Hence, the military is going to have to walk into a very difficult political mine field in deciding whether to give out those medals, and the Illegal Alien is going to be forced to show his true colors. He's actualy going to have to decide of we're at war with radical Islam or not, since the medals can only be given if he decides we are at war with radical Islam and this massacre was a part of that war.

In WW II it would have been a piece of cake for FDR to give the medals if a Nazi sympathizer had done such a thing. Indeed, he'd have jumped at the chance to improve civilian morale and firm up support for the war. Since that's exactly what Obama's loathe to do, it will be most interesting to see what happens.

An excellent point. Must keep an eye on this aspect of it.

There was one word in that Cairo speech that jumped out at me. He was talking about where the Muslim religion was intitiated, only he said where it was first revealed. Would he use that word about any other religion?

If the circumstances of Hassan's massacre of soldiers and civilians on American soil do not demand a connection with terrorism, exactly what facts would be needed?

Obama was quick to condemn the white policeman, without facts and with never an apology. He was quick to say typical white people are bigoted, but he is unable to express anything but sympathy for the shooter in this massacre.

Okay, now he totally creeps me out.

It’s interesting to hear that no one in this administration plans to duck and cover if they hear a nearby allah akubar or 2 with associated gunshots. “...innocent mistake by an increasingly wet-behind-the-ears rookie”...administration, suffering from delusions of grandeur. ATHD begging for PTSD!

I would put the start of the War on Terror in 2001, with President Bush’s actions immediately after the terror attacks on 9/11, and the invasion of Afghanistan.

Obama views the USA like an envious and resentful Third Worlder. He doesn’t celebrate traditional American values or accomplishments because he does believe they are positive things.

Great points all.

I would add, in terms of Obama’s view of the American service member, that he would not allow midshipmen to wear ceremonial swords at their Annapolis graduation.

He didn’t want to be among them if they were “armed”. These are supposedly “his” soldiers, but he won’t go near them if they are armed.

This smacks of projection. That is, because Obama sees the American military as his enemy, he assumes that they see him as their enemy.

I wonder if Hasan and Obama aren’t on the same page? After all, we know they read the same books.

RE: “There was one word in that Cairo speech that jumped out at me. He was talking about where the Muslim religion was initiated, only he said where it was first revealed.”

You were right to notice that. Only a Muslim would say “where it was first revealed.” However, Zero has consistently sent these “coded” messages about his real beliefs to the muzzies, so as far as the media is concerned “it's old news.” They aren't going to sit up and notice anything until they are personally shivering in their boots, and by then we will be under totalitarian domination. Actually, we already are.

The ‘bama has spoken more words defending Islam and the shooter than he has spoken in regard to our fallen, which he treats as a side issue. In a sense, he’s just being honest. This is where his sympathies are, with those would who kill American soldiers. This is Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers channeling through him. He is the president of totalitarianism, anti-Americanism and terrorists. America has chosen, wittingly or not, a president who favors those who would murder us and take our property over those who create our wealth and defend our freedom. In his first press conference about the shooting, he summarized his entire presidency by practicing racial identitiy politics, making up a story about a Medal of Honor recipient who isn’t, and figuratively spitting on the image of flag draped coffins. It was a true and honest demonstration of who he is.

He cares, all right - he cares deeply and passionately.

There is no other street kid from Jakarta who hates America so completely, so deeply, so passionately.

We'd be much better off with any randomly chosen street kid from Jakarta in charge.

Rush is right. 0bama is a man child
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Rush has been wrong from the beginning in failing to seriously report on Obama’s questionable natural born status.

As much as I admire Rush and all the good he has and is doing, Rush consistently fails to report on some issues. Obama’s natural born status is one of them that is like a stone in my shoe.

Rush has also **consistently** failed to call Obama and his minions what they are: Marxists and fascists. I can barely stand to hear Rush any more. If I hear “radical leftist” even one more time, I will be physically ill. How can we defeat the enemy if we do not call them what they are, or even correctly label and define the worldwide philosophy that we are fighting?

If he can not be courageous on these issues, I doubt he will stand by true patriots when tyranny comes.

Yes, this is harsh criticism of Rush, but,... yes, we should never forget he has done and is doing mountains of good for the conservative movement.

We’re going wrong, people! Those who would do what the Obama administration and the Democrats are planning and executing are not “cool”.

In the United States of America, self-preservation and freedom are cool. To go one’s own way and agree to disagree. Independence, individuality and being one’s own boss. Striving for and maintaining feelings of well-being within one’s self and those of others where appropriate.

Obama, his crew and the State-Controlled Media will imply, by the abuse of the power of suggestion, that it is out of their love and concern for all people that they do what they do, as if “on a mission from God”. That rather than being in ‘blind’ opposition to their ideology, we will surely be thanking them for such a new and improved tomorrow because up until then, we were in agreement with the opinions held and conclusions given by various conservative right-wing extremist voices. However, we know who knows better, right? Exactly- WE DO! That’s what’s cool. If it’s true that nice guys sometimes finish last and that bad things will happen to good people then it’s also true that bad guys sometimes finish first and that good things often happen to bad people. However unfortunate for conservatives it may seem to be on the short end of the stick, just knowing the difference and sticking to one’s guns can be it’s own reward. When the American people begin to demand and adhere to a technical correctness over political correctness then this ship will more or less, right itself. Human-Caused Global Warning/Climate Change is one of those issues that must be successfully confronted with the full scrutiny of technical correctness in order to aleviate the insidiousness of a less-than-benign “political correctness”.

This power-grab of theirs is vanity-driven...NOT COOL! They want to save the world, live forever AND leave a good-looking corpse.

Message to Marxists-liberals, democrats, and RINO’s...Wake up and smell yourselves because while you may think that a printed image of Che Guevara on a T-shirt can make you seem interesting, you probably didn’t realize that in real life, it was common knowledge that Che Guevara did not practice good personal hygiene at home or in the field and that is so....UNCOOL!
