She already did pass Cap and Trade.
Ed Morrissey made some great points just now over at Hot Air (Is this the high-water mark for ObamaCare?) that are similar to mine. You should read it.
Remember the extra $13 to 20$ per paycheck workers got at the beginning of this administration.
&&&&
I don’t remember that. Do you have any links to this?
I have been told by HR workers that they were told in October to start taking more out of paychecks. Could that be a reversal of this ‘beginning of this administration’ manipulation of take home pay?
Healthcare bill barely passed and the only thing Obama has done on the economy is the stimulus.
RAT talking point Obama a Reagan or a Clinton? Mara just repeated it.
Kristol, Obama healthcare bill serious burden to the economy.
Wallace: Coming up...did political correctness play a part in the killings at Fort Hood?
You are right once again. This is simply a grab for money and power. Democrats believe they will remain in power forever once they have this power over the public as they reward supporters.
It’s time we start to remind people about that. As a public service, we need to let folks know to save up some money for April.
That should put another spike in Pelosi’s wheel.
The thought of a military coup (here) is almost unthinkable. But what happens once Obama is completely peeled to reveal a cleacut Communist revolutionary...so much so that’s indisputable? What then? My suspicion it would be resolved politically via ostracization, rather than coup.
I agree...but even she was surprised at Col. Hunt!
Thank you. I did not know that. Can you give me a link for that information? I’ll look it up as well but if you have it that would be faster.
Well, I consider it two sides of the same coin. Our economy has been consumer based for a century, and that demands access to credit.
This is going to be the mother of all economic corrections, and the Democrats are doing everything in their power to make it worse. Existing laws and regulations make a grassroots recovery nearly impossible, and they are adding even more.
Considering obamao will have control of congress, judiciary with his new appts, the media (of course) and ACORN to "count" the votes to insure his preferred election outcomes. What then?
Constitutional means are the only way, and it will be up to the democrats to do their duty.
Wonderful post about the airport greeters in Bangor.
Our daughter, who lives in southern Maine, is starting a habit of buying meals for anyone she sees in uniform if she’s in a restaurant.
Last week she tried to pay for a troop’s meal anonymously, and the restaurant management insisted on picking up the tab instead!
The soldier was astounded, and very grateful.
That doesn't matter.
We'll do what Great Britain does, or some of our own our state mental hospital systems have done in the past. We'll import foreign doctors from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nigeria, wherever, and pay them less.
The inconvenient fact they aren't board certified or can even speak much English won't matter a bit as that will be waived. They are happy to work here for cheap and will "fill the squares".
Of course, our rulers will have their own elite hospital systems with competent American staffs, just like in the old Soviet Union. But a Pakistani who is a potential jihadi and can't speak English will be good enough for the rest of us.
Thanks for the link. I read the Morrissey analysis and agree with it. Whatever actually comes out of Congress will not resemble the House bill. The only thing bipartisan about ObamaCare is the opposition. 15% of Democrats opposed the bill.
Great story—and great daughter!
I will here but I agree that won’t happen everywhere.

An interesting Wall Street Journal article of Nov 6, that argues the opposite of your statement. The Man Who Predicted the Depression
Ludwig von Mises explained how government-induced credit expansions led to imbalances in the economy.
Conclusion: With interest rates at zero, monetary engines humming as never before, and a self-proclaimed Keynesian government, we are back again embracing the brave new era of government-sponsored prosperity and debt. And, more than ever, the system is piling uncertainties on top of uncertainties, turning an otherwise resilient economy into a brittle one.
How curious it is that the guy who wrote the script depicting our never ending story of government-induced credit expansion, inflation and collapse has remained so persistently forgotten. Must we sit through yet another performance of this tragic tale?
