gov. Rendell -stimulus is working. Look at all the jobs that have been “saved”. uh-huh.
Barbour - you can’t spend yourself rich.
The liberal blogosphere is cheering one of its heroes for insulting a former Republican member of Congress on national television who as a result walked off an MSNBC set in disgust.
Appearing on Friday’s “The Ed Show,” Daily Kos owner Markos Moulitsas said to former Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo, “I did not get a deferment because I was too depressed to fight in a war that I supported in Vietnam.”
Tancredo asked for an apology, and when one was not forthcoming, he took off his microphone and earpiece, and left
I do not think there is any real answer to what will get us out of this, other than time.

Time, prayer, and fewer ‘corrections’, aka oppressive regulations, by Democrat lawmakers.
YESSSSSSSSSSSS, HALEY BARBOUR will consider running for POTUS after the 2010 elections !!
Republicans really need to look at Haley - he could be a very very good candidate in 2012 !!
Sadly, you're right. I was raised to care deeply about this country and have followed politics since I was able to read. It was the same for my mother, my grandfather and his father before him. My great grandfather founded the first newspaper in Dakota territory so I can say this need to acquire knowledge is genetic. :)
My in-laws are a different story. They see no need to bother their pretty heads with such inane slop as the Constitution and the left's willingness to destroy it. They assume the country will keep humming along as it always has and their lives will not be changed. I've put forth my best efforts to change them over the past twenty odd years with little to no success. They are in for a huge wake-up call and they won't be able to say I didn't warn them. That is one "I told you so," I will not relish.
I like Haley Barbour a lot.
The talking heads are getting boring with this notion that every Pubbie should run exactly like Bob McDonald in Virginia.
The Democrats are using this economic crisis as an opportunity to grab and consolidate power...the longer it lasts, the better for them. They have the power to give money to their base, just as they did with porkulus.
This is why unity was needed so badly in 2006 and 2008. It was a horrible mistake to let the Democrats take power over the Republicans (regardless of their shortcomings), and that was before the economic meltdown.
Our nation, society, and economy are in untested waters. Lots of prayer is in order!
Chris Wallace is misreading the Tea Parties completely, following the conventional wisdom that it is only the very conservative part of the Republican Party.
He is very worried that these crazy wingnuts, as Chris Matthews calls them, will make demands on him.
They simply do not get what is going on out there.
"board certified" may not be the word you're searching for. A tremendous number of US-born and trained physicians aren't "board certified". However, all have to be licensed in the states that they practice and must pass their respective state "medical licensing boards" - as do foreign born doctors (with the exception of Canadian doctors, who are accepted with their Canadian credentials). In fact, depending on how your foreign medical school is licensed, states may require that you complete additional mandatory training before you can sit for your boards.
Secondly, I wouldn't say that foreign-born doctors make less than American-born, at least I haven't seen any published studies that reflect that.
Lastly, America graduates roughly the same amount of doctors today than they did in the early '80s. That's a problem. While the population has grown - some might say explosively - the number of Doctors we mint every year has not. If we were not "importing" doctors, then we'd already be rationing health-care. And, those who were paying for, would be paying much more.
It would seem that the President is not clear on what is happening either.

Excellent observations, bray!
He is disgusting.
So is Robert Gibbs.
People hear things on the evening news and think they are informed. Obama knows how to use the media to his advantage. Few people are informed but too busy with sports, music, being entertained, having a good time, family affairs, stupid t.v. shows, movies etc. How people do you know who can participate in a give and take converstation about current events? I always think what should be discussed in the media and what isn’t discussed because of fears. Now, these Representatives have too much power and how can it be slowed or stopped. Too many people are being led like sheep.
You know...I’m beginning to see exactly how the left and their sycophants in the DBM define what is and isn’t terrorism.
Protesting higher taxes...socialized medicine...showing up at town hall meetings and making elected officials answer the tough questions...now THAT is terrorism in the minds of those on the left. Hell military veterans are the real terrorists to the left.
Shooting up 14 innocent people while yelling allah akbar...why that’s not terrorism to the left...that’s just America’s fault for not being more “understanding” of his situation.
The socialists in charge do everything and I repeat "everything" with power politics in mind. Nothing is wrong or right only politically expedient. And that includes the slaughter of 40 troops in Texas.
Meet The Press - discussion on health care “reform”
David Brooks - In most countries that have socialized health care, once you pass it, the citizens like it. (What is he smoking?)
Gillespie - Adds spending, not paid for, millions will lose their private insurance.
Rachel Maddow - if they don’t put abortion back in the bill, democrat women won’t be happy.
EJ Dionne - this bill is paid for (okay, what is HE smoking?)
America's safety hung in the balance, but the Enemy within
encouraged with a "blind eye" the largest domestic attack since 911.
