I cringe that he's a Muslim. I mean, because it inflames all the fears. I think he's probably just a nut case. But with that label attached to him, it will get the right wing going and it just -- I mean these things are tragic, but that makes it much worse.

I think that's the crux of the MSM issue. They hate Christianity so much that they will align themselves with anything and anyone who joins them in their campaign to damage it.
One amazing capability that humans have is the ability to generalize. They can take isolated incidents and see the patterns between them and then react to new situations appropriately because they can transfer learning from other experiences. They do not have to be taught about each new situation they encounter. Other mammals can do this also, but nowhere near to the extent of humans.
In this case, the left wants us to suspend our generalizing ability, and treat each incident of Muslim violence as if there were no pattern, as if we should not transfer any past learning when we consider it.
When it comes to pet peeves of the left, generalizing is called "discrimination" or "prejudice." Of course, the ability to discriminate and also the ability to judge a situation ahead of time are also highly useful human abilities.....
Oh, absolutely the situation itself can get worse. But whether or not we’re inflamed about it isn’t what will make it worse.
