““tea parties” were held on the sidewalks infront of every Senator’s HOME!”

Good luck with that. Senators live behind gated communities and have large police forces at their call. They are immune to your pleas.

I think we should come out with ads locally for every representative who voted for this. Need to briefly summarize the bad stuff, taxes, buracracies, etc. and say Patrick Murphy for instance voted for this, and the stimulus, and cap & tax. The voters don’t have time to research 1,000 page bills, lets help them.

I think we must all stop paying taxes. They depend on the fact that we will support their schemes

They are no longer dependent on taxes. They print and borrow all the money they want.

The only purpose of taxes, now, is to punish the class enemy.

It’s not the law yet. We have lost a battle not the war! Keep fighting.

nation destroyers in Washington

Exactly. Major legislation shouldn't be passed on the slimist of partisan margins. The President and Dems are willing to tear this country apart to grab more power. It may turn out, however, that this is a pyrrhic victory for them.

. A bunch of talking monkees on t.v. will keep everyone confused.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I expect the Marxist media to be talking monkeys.

What seriously saddens me is that our conservative media seems to be self-censoring itself on certain issues. For instance, do we even have a constitutionally eligible and natural born president? Nary a word on the subject since Obama came on the scene.

I don’t give up that easily. There are sidewalks outside of gated communities that are public and so I’m not the least bit concerned about police. I realize that they are immune to our pleas, it’s about the best way of getting media attention and making the public aware.

We need to expose this bill. The accomplice media will not reveal some of the most egregious aspects of the bill.

I think the first negative reaction will be with Medicare. We know that they are cutting up to 500B/10yrs for Medicare & Medicaid. They will ration. One way is the creation of “Medical Homes” (we can call them medical mausoleums). This encourages primary care doctors (including nurse practitioners) to restrict access to specialists and diagnostic tests. Imagine a nurse telling a patient that they can’t see a cardiologist or neurosurgeon.

The second major area is that of mandates. Mandates will increase insurance premiums and drive up costs. Mandates are also there to prevent insurance companies from raising premiums. Result: small insurance companies go out of business and large ones will have to be subsidized (bailed out). So your insurance will change.

Mandates by the Federal government to purchase a product or service are unconstitutional. Perhaps some type of collective action could be taken if these mandates survive the final bill. I think now we must beat the drum to the Senate regarding constitutionality.

If all else fails, short small insurance companies and device makers. Look for a freer country. Any suggestions?

” making the public aware.”

The public knows. They talk about it every day. What you are failing to undestand is that there are enough “voters” out there such that the congress critters couldn’t care less about your demands. They, Rs & Ds, know they have enough voters to get reelected. We have a constitution to help prevent tyranny but that constitution is only good if you do your part and your part doesn’t end at the first amendment. This bill is nothing BUT tyranny. You’ve shouted enough, now what are you going to do since they will pass this bill in your face? Shout some more? Vote for the other guy? How’s that been working out for you so far? They just passed the bill in the House despite millions demonstrating against it, despite voting like crazy, and despite votes of secession support in several States.

I am advocating secession and telling the federal government to get lost.

It is undeniable yesterday's defeat was a dispiriting setback for the cause of liberty in America. As such it was more than one more scrimmage which moves the ball 10 yards towards one side or the other. There is no point in understating the potential damage to our commonweal and to our liberties which this intrusive bill poses.

But we should also see this in the greater sweep of history. We have to understand how democracies work. They usually drive along by looking in the rearview mirror with the electorate motivated to correct mistakes rather than making a well informed and prudential choice for future options. The electorate thought it was correcting a grave mistake being done by the Republicans and George Bush. The media relentlessly told them this.

But we should also recognize that in this last election the people have confounded the media and began the process of correcting that mistake they made putting Obama in office especially equipping him as they did with overwhelming majorities in the House and a filibuster proof majority in the Senate. Part of the reason the people drove the vehicle of state to the right in this last election is because they looked at their rearview mirror and saw the tea party demonstrators waving them in that direction.

The threat to our democracy posed by Barack Obama is grave indeed. I have been warning about it since before the election. Yet I feel confident in saying that the process of correction is underway. There is no assurance that the Republicans will win the midterm elections in 2010 and even less assurance that we will be able to evict the narcissist from the White House in 2012.

Yet I keep thinking of the description by Douglas Southall Freeman of Pickett's charge, "it was five o'clock in the afternoon but it was high noon for the Confederacy." As Armistead and his few gallant Virginians reached the stonewall near the copse of trees, they were shot down by the concentrating resistance of the superior Yankee numbers. It was the high water mark of the Confederacy. The struggle would go on but in retrospect we see Gettysburg as the turning point.

There is every reason to believe that the Marxist impulse of the Obama phenomenon has just reached its high water mark.

We need to expose this bill.

Exactly. Picture an ad for say Patrick Murphy (my communist rep)that says "What is your representative doing for you?" Then give a bullet list of total spending he voted for, total new taxes in bills he's passed this year, mention that he voted to take away your health insurance, etc.

I honestly think we need to pick these guys off one a time and I think we need to start now so the Senate can glimpse their future if they vote for it. They're all just blending into their majority right now and buying off a few big wigs at home with their deals.

Those people are afraid of Obama so we are not getting the truth. Maybe his parents were not married. Maybe someone financed him who we will never know. The Media and Press does not do the right thing. If they did, we would not be in such a screwed up mess. The new generation of journalists are not heroes. They are paid off to not look for reveal the truth about certain delicate topics.
