I was unfamiliar with this slang term. It's interesting that it was on the tip of the Democrat's tongues isn't it.

Something is being overlooked and misconstrued with this.
“Teabagging” certainly has homosexual overtones, but its origin is not among homosexuals, but was and is a sort of frat prank intended to embarrass and to humiliate. The “victim” is usually passed out, dead drunk. Photos often are taken and passed around as a joke. Think of similar, but less peculiar, college pranks ... shaving cream, actual shaving, lamp shades, shoe polish. Same thing.
The notorious example of this “teabagging,” not coincidentally, occurred in North Carolina, in the basement of the best fraternity on the UNC campus. The “victim” was a well-known basketball player for arch-rival Duke University, just up the road. This former Dukie is now in the White House, working very closely with Barack Obama.
His name is Reggie Love.
It’s also interesting, the difficulties that this fraternity, to which so many Presidents have belonged over the years, is having of late at UNC.
One could certainly circle back to homosexuality, given the widespread and persistent rumors regarding Obama himself, as well as his very close relationship and daily, personal interaction with Reggie Love, but the original act that I believe set this whole, seeming vendetta into motion, was perpetrated by very straight, white fraternity brothers.
Therein lies the reason that Obama is all wee-weed up about teabagging, and I do mean both terms in their original slang context, and all that that entails.
As far as I know, the pictures are still floating around the web, surprisingly, for those strong enough of stomach to seek them out.

With all due respect - Hasan was a member of a task force at GWU that was formed to give advice to the bammy transition. He was not appointed directly to bammy’s transition team.
