Casey: Shootings leading to a hard look at Army
AP ^ | 48 minutes ago Nov 8,2009 | AP

WASHINGTON — The Army's chief of staff says the Army is taking a hard look at itself to make certain that something like the Fort Hood rampage doesn't happen again.

The shootings left 13 dead and 29 wounded. The alleged gunman, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan (nih-DAHL' mah-LEEK' hah-SAHN'), was wounded by civilian police.

Gen. George Casey warns against reaching conclusions about motives until investigators have fully explored the attack. Early reports suggest Hasan, a Muslim, was angry about the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and worried about his pending deployment to Afghanistan.

Casey says focusing on Hasan's Islamic roots could "heighten the backlash" against all Muslims in the military.

Casey appeared Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press."

unless and until these terrorists can be dealt with in an honest and open fashion WITHOUT those doing the investigating being labeled as bigots, racists and discriminatory, nothing will change regardless what changes they make..

Early reports suggest Hasan, a Muslim, was angry about the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and worried about his pending deployment to Afghanistan.

Interpretation:"If I have to go to Afghanistan and risk my life to kill terrorists, I may as well stay in America and kill Americans and at least feel good about it".

Everyone needs to understand that Casey and the whole chain of command have to be careful not to be accused of undue command influence. That could be used to get the traitor off or at least mitigate the sentence. Since there is a pretty fair chance Hasan will be charged with treason, they have to be careful.

Unfortunately, for the death sentence to be carried out, the president must personally sign the execution order. Little chance of that until the muslim gets thrown out of office.

It isn't the Army that is at fault, it is the PC directives that have been shoved worn their throat!

The fault is with the DHS, the FBI and local authorities for not looking inside EVERY MOSQUE for “Islamic extremism”!

If “Islamic extremism” is being taught in a Mosque then the should be leveled and any foreign Imams EXPORTED!! NEXT!!

The whitewashing of this TROPPOS’s history of association with violent Jihadists has begun.

May God Damn you Gen Casey, if you steer this into a watered doen pc response to this mass murdering TROPPOS!

He absolutely is!!!! Why is it that an Islamicized American kid from Marin county California took up the Jihad cause and was branded and prosecuted as a terrorist but somehow this Palestinian anti-American who METHODICALLY PLANNED the massacre of our military is not? Why is that so hard to comprehend? I am so angry that our soldiers and their families are not going to have justice here.

If you’ve ever been on a domestic military base, and I’ve been on plenty doing work for the military, you’ll know they already are gun-free except for MP’s. The weapons on these bases are locked up behind several THICK metal doors and even IF you could get to them, there is no ammo stocked there. It’s held in a separate area.

Fort Hood shooting: Texas army killer linked to September 11 terrorists

*********************************EXCERPT*INTRO********************

Hasan, the sole suspect in the massacre of 13 fellow US soldiers in Texas, attended the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia, in 2001 at the same time as two of the September 11 terrorists, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt.

Since the focus here is “backlash against muslims in the military”, the fix will be double political correctness. The cultural effeminacy expressed by this administration will be enforced across the armed services. Even though moslems comprise about.0017% of the personnel, their willingness to commit sudden deadly violence gives them a lot of clout. In the way that one man with a pistol can control a thousand without one, a relative few fanatics can force a weak, sympathetic government to conform to their will.

Casey's gagged and gagging. You're right, Army has to keep this under wraps, keep jurisdiction and convene a Courts Martial before the case gets shuffled off to Justice.

The cops didn’t go rogue. They were Department of Defense Law Enforcement Officers working ON THE POST. They were not Texas LEOs, although Texas might (and I don’t know this for sure) have granted them peace officer status within the state. FEDERAL COPS, not Texas cops

They had an agreement with the locals, Here is the staus of the lady that they claim short the pervert: She is a corporal for the Fort Hood Police Department. The FHPD is a federal law enforcement agency (GS Series 0083) that provides patrol response on Fort Hood. She DOES IN FACT have authority on the military base because she is a federal law enforcement officer and a GS employee

Here is the statement of a US Army lawyer (Judge Advocate General) as to the jurisdiction issue:

Tom Kenniff, attorney, Army JAG officer and Iraq war veteran who served in Tikrit, was online Friday, Nov. 6, at Noon ET to discuss what happened at Ft. Hood, crimes committed in the military, possible motives and what circumstances can lead to such occurrences.

Thomas Keniff: "I believe the Judge Advocate General's Office on Ft. Hood will have exclusive jurisdiction over this case, at least for purposes of charging him with multiple counts of murder, attempted murder, etc. This can be, and most certainly be a death penalty case. Its possible he could also be charged by the Feds with committing an act of terrorism, but my guess is the Army will get first crack at him."
