I view every one of these as causalities of war. Killeed by a treacherous, murderous enemy within the ranks who sided with our enemiews against this nation and its people.

May they all Rest in Peace, and may God in Heaven rest their souls and comfort all of their loved ones.

THESE BRAVE SOLDIERS WERE MURDERED BY AN ACT OF TERRORISM!

Maybe the Administration and the Army don’t want to call this “terrorism’ because of the “$$$Payout”...Were not the victims of 9-11 given federal monies???

I hope the soldiers’families and all the FT Hood families push this issue.

More like an Act of Treason imo.

I hope he is put to death at Fort Hood.

"I hope he is put to death at Fort Hood."

I vote for bolting him to a tank hulk on the range, and then letting an A-10 start a GAU-8 run a couple of hundred meters early, so he can see the HE rounds "walking in on" him for a few seconds of terrified anticipation...

All on prime-time TV, of course...

I’m sad for all of them. Judging by their ages, several were career military. It’s just heartbreaking.

Hassan will never make it to a trial....Rahm will visit him in the hospital with a bouquet of flowers {cue the Godfather music}....

No trial. No TV. No Book....this guy will never be allowed to “talk”.
He will just be found to have quietly died in his bed.

Hmm, good point - can’t see Obama signing a death warrant in this case.

Obama would never do that....

But this Hassan has embarrassed a LOT of people and if he talks would just stir up a WHOLE lot more troubles.

I know i am getting very cynical...but this whole deal was shut down REAL fast.

More like an Act of Treason imo.

Treason is completely the wrong term, if we want to get technical (and the word treason gets thrown around far too liberally here anyway), this is pure Fratricide if we are going to use those terms.

But terrorism works for me, because that's what it was. In a way I hope the guy does talk, because since he wasn't sent to Allah, he's going to sing like a canary. That will both embarrass Obama, since we aren't supposed to jump to conclusions, as well as the idiots in the MSM, because they are talking about PTSD for some reason...

No, treason is EXACTLY what it was.

I didn’t feel one bit terrorized by it, did you? I’m more angry than anything else.

I see it for what it was - an officer, doing a Benedict Arnold, disobeying his oath to the nation and turning his weapons on his fellow soldiers to help achieve the goals of the enemy as they were about to ship out to the theater of combat in Afghanistan.

Treason.

You're using the wrong term, but I don't have the energy right now to fight a fight with someone who has his mind made up and won't listen otherwise. And yes being angry about it is usually one of the aims of any terrorist operation. Because instead of going about your life in a way you'd like, you're angry about something THEY did.

“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.”

As an officer in the US Army did or did not Major Hasan swear or affirm the following oath:

“I (insert name), having been appointed a (insert rank) in the U.S. Army under the conditions indicated in this document, do accept such appointment and do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter, so help me God.”

Did or did he not conduct an armed attack (levy war against) a US Army fort and kill American soldiers about to embark to Afghanistan? Were they (& Hasan too) under legal orders as authorized in the September 2001 Authorization to Use Military Force in Afghanistan?

Didn’t he object to that policy, didn’t he then take action against his fellow Americans to prevent them (again as authorized by Congress & their Superiors)from achieving their mission? To prevent them from fulfilling their Oaths of Service?

Did his action assist the enemy?

Treason cut & dry to anyone paying attention imho.

Find a building that is slated for implosion. Tie him to a chair in the middle of the ground floor and put a large timer in front of him, so he can watch the countdown. Of course, they would have to check the clock a couple of times, so it would get down to one and then start over again.

Yipes..they can’t sue the Army or the local police.

I wonder if there is different pay, retirement, etc and family benefits if wounded or killed in combat...in action...even though they are technically on Base on American soil.? Its not like they got shot by a madman at Wallmart.
