“I’ve read reports that upwards of 50% of all doctors will quit if Socialized Medicine takes effect. One doctor I know said, “It’s just based on principle. It’s like going Galt.”

I so seriously doubt that. Not that I particularly blame them, nor am I generally dissing their integrity. I sincerely believe that 98%+ of doctors truly are motivated by a desire to help others. And maybe I am wrong.

When the rubber hits the road, though, they’re IMO going to make an economic decision and they’re not going to be able to give up a high-five or six figure income out of principle.

Got an email on this for a doctor we see.
“ On Saturday, November 21st Dr. Peter Crist, President of the American College of Orgonomy, and Dr. Edward Chastka, Clinical Associate, will be speaking as part of the Million Med March, a nationwide rally in each state capital to bring health care professionals and patients together to explore alternatives to government-run health care and other provisions of the current health care reform bills before Congress. Dr. Chastka, the Pennsylvania Physician Coordinator of the March, will be speaking about the Emotional Plague on the steps of the Capitol in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania addressing “Why so many people are afraid to manage their own healthcare, and why there are so many people willing to do it for them.” Dr. Crist will speak on the doctor-patient relationship at the Statehouse in Trenton, New Jersey. Says Dr. Crist, “There is nothing more important for the future of medicine than to protect and improve the real working relationship between doctor and patient.”

The Million Med March will be occurring on the same day in cities all across the country, with the Pennsylvania March commencing at noon on the steps of the Capitol. The New Jersey March will be held at the Statehouse in Trenton beginning at noon.”
