Her job is homeland security. Worrying about whether civil rights might be violated is the problem of DOJ. It would be helpful if the various cabinet officers could each worry about his or her own job and let the others do their jobs. It is a normal formula for organizational efficiency, not that this crowd cares much about that.

Nothing lasts forever, but I was really hoping I wouldn’t see the American Experiment come to an end in my lifetime. The current administration is anti-American with pro-Islamist sympathies. Millions of Americans share the administration’s poisonous adherence to strict political correctness no matter how self-destructive. The national mindset is sick. I don’t see this changing.

The collective mouth of the Obama administration, and the press that it controls, have from minutes after the shooting, spoken to defend Islam. There is simply no way around it. I am not a conspiracy theorist. I am not, and still am not a believer that Barack Obama is a Muslim. I think he is, as close as I understand their beliefs, sort of a unitarian. He believes all religions to be “wisdom traditions” but with no real truth to any of them, beyond some general principals for living. But from a belief standpoint, he views religion as an acedemic.
But I do belive that he has a soft spot for Islam. How could he not? His Father was a muslim, he has a muslim name. Remember his line from the campaign, about Muslims feeling more free to talk to a guy with “a name like mine”. I dont think its out of conviction, like his being a “closet Muslim”...but there is a fondness there. If his name were “Ghandi” it would probably be for Hinduism.
Unfortunately, this fondness will, I fear, get many, many Americans killed. I dont wish for this, I wish to God that I am wrong, but I fear we are going to play patty cake with these Islamic bastards up until the point where a mushroom cloud appears over a major city. I hate the prospect, but with Islamofacists trying with all their might and treasure to get one, and an administration that is more concerned with not offending them than fighting them, I fear it is just a matter of time.
If that were to happen, and again I stress that I pray I am wrong about this, but then you will see a real change in American attitudes. Nuclear weapons carry a stigma about them. Even though the damage may be equal to large amounts of conventional weapons, nukes just plain scare people. An attack such as that will cause people to simply not give a damn about being called intolerant. Hopefully, they will get to that point via another route, but to be honest, I dont see it.

The later consensus that it was wrong to round up all the Japanese in the western US mainland and put them in camps has no doubt influenced how the US government has treated the danger from Muslims living in the US.
I've only met a few Muslims in person, but among them are three I would say were absolutely opposed to violence.
There are Muslims from former Communist countries who were subjected to so much atheistic propaganda that they have no religious beliefs (like many Orthodox, Catholics, or Protestants in the same countries)...they might be called MINO's (Muslims in name only). I figure they are one group we don't have to worry about.
I agree that there are a lot of Muslims who, while not inclined to do anything violent themselves, secretly sympathize with those that do, and aren't going to turn on the violent ones.
Get your head out of your ass, Napolitano, and protect the U.S. from its enemies. That’s what Homeland Security is supposed to do.
