Climate bill's 'emergency provision' gives Obama strong-man powers

Here’s how: The bills require a federal declaration of a “climate emergency” if world greenhouse gas levels reach 450 parts per million. Guess what? The Pacific Northwest National Lab says it is a virtual certainty that level will be reached within a few months. The bill then requires the president to “direct all Federal agencies to use existing statutory authority to take appropriate actions...to address shortfalls" in achieving needed greenhouse gas reductions.

The Examiner's David Freddoso reports that Sen. David Vitter, R-LA, is holding a news conference later today concerning this provision. Vitter wonders if companies that support cap-and-trade in the hope they will profit from going green realize what could happen to them soon after enactment. More to the point, we wonder what the American people will do when they realize what is actually going on here.

450 parts per million or .045%. You of course realize this is like putting a couple of drops of CO2 into a big aquarium and expecting the drop to have any impact on the temperature at all.

If mankind were to completely discontinue use of fossil fuels, atmospheric CO2 would continue to increase, as it bubbles out of the oceans the same way it bubbles out of a warming Coke.

Water vapor is the most potent “greenhouse gas”, and it’s much more prevalent in the atmosphere than 450 parts per million.

Total, absolute control.
Plan A - EVERYTHING has an affect on health in one way or another. That means our oppressive government can control every aspect of our lives.
EVERYTHING affects the environment. This is plan B in case they missed anything in plan A.

There’s no doubt about it. The House has gone extreme far left-wing after the last two election results. It’s off the charts on the left edge. Some of these bills look like they were literally written by communists straight out of the old Soviet Union. It’s unbelievable. Just wait until the first Tuesday in November, 2010. The democrats will be handed a crushing defeat on that day.

If they pass health care and cap and trade before then, will we really have any more real elections? They will have total control over us, why would they allow fair elections and mess up their sweet deal?

Instead of elections I think it will be ejections and replacements.

Fortunately it's difficult to fix a lot of elections in the US, because we're such a big country and elections are all run by the counties. There's really no way, at this time, for an administration in Washington to send people into all those counties to rig elections and get away with it. The dems get away with vote fraud in parts of certain cities, but if they try to do that in a lot of places they run a big risk of getting caught and then having news of massive attempted fraud spread all over the internet, Fox News channel, and talk radio. If that were to happen, they'd be in big trouble politically in a lot of states, because the vast majority of Americans in both parties view fair elections as extremely important.

So an attempt to rig a lot of elections would be an all-in riverboat gamble, an attempted coup d'etat that would be very difficult to pull off and when it failed it could cause major permanent damage to the democrat party. So it's highly unlikely that they would ever try that, under the current election system. But this is why it's vitally important to maintain local control of elections and NEVER allow the federal government to control voting machines, voting software, or vote counting at the local level. If anyone from either party tries to do that then we'll have to take to the streets in mass protest. Local election control is the last line of defense to prevent American from turning into another Venezuela.

The first coup in America was pulled off right in front of our eyes and the History Channel still passes it off as a mystery. This video shows it’s not a mystery but a lie, there is information in the next few minutes that PROVES that hypothesis but you probably won’t believe it. They think they can pull it off.

Key warning signs to watch for are:
1) federal government tries to take control of voting machine software (as in Venezuela) or the local vote counting process, and
2) federal government tries to end reporting of election results by county and tries to force reporting of state and national election results at the state level only.

If you would, send me a freepmail if you hear about anything like that.

The reporter was a bit sloppy. CO2 is at 385 PPM now, is going up at about 2 PPM, so 450 PPM is *many* years off, and by then, this bill will seem like the least of our problems.

Also, where goes “climate emergency” appear in the bill (H.R. 2454)? I searched this ungodly monster for that text, and it does not exist.

Sheesh, there is enough real news to report, we don’t need to make it up.

I would hope you would share this video with as many people as possible. I have and have been started at how many watched it to the end and were mesmerized by it. This video catches the collective imagination.

Unfortunatley th people at Freerepublic don’t like me to share it over and over again. I understand. Still this vid is quite impressive and makes all the points about Obama and people get it.
