Kaine issued a statement this morning saying that he would not stop the execution.

Give him credit where it’s due. He said he would follow the law even though he personally opposes the death penalty. And he has.

I rarely praise him, but every now and then, he gets it right.

Well, I am deeply gratified that the families this monster maimed through his wickedness will receive the justice they deserve. While his death cannot bring back the dead, nor can the death itself offer comfort to grieving hearts, at least they do not have to live with the injustice of his existence.

Kaine did stand by his word in regards to this monster.

Many families will feel some closure tonight as will the thousands of us frightened out of our wits during those weeks.

Minimal credit only. Politically for Kaine to have granted clemency would have been suicide. There is no way that was ever going to happen, even with the most anti-death penalty pol.

It’s not as if Muhammed went to a single location and wiped out 10 people, as horrific a crime as that would be. Oh, nooooooooooooooooo, he terrorized millions of people in VA/DC/MD over weeks. I was one of them. If the crime hadn’t affected so many constituents, Kaine might at least have considered clemency. Both as governor and as DNC Chairman, it was unthinkable.

Ever wonder why they sterilize the needle and arm, prior to lethal injections????

I’ll be watching for my lights to dim, and then drink a toast to “Sparky”.

What you’re saying may be true, but I give him more credit than that. He’s been pretty consistent on the issue of the death penalty over his term.

well, that’s true .. he kept his campaign promise about the death penalty. But we don’t execute except for the most outrageous crimes. Kinda hard to find any excuse NOT to zap ‘em.

I have zero sympathy for Muhammed. Saw his former wife being interviewed on tv the other day, she won’t even come to claim the body. Maybe CAIR will.

Yes, I have wondered about that too. In this case I think they should sterilize it in hot bacon grease.

Is there not a parallel between John Allen Muhammad and Nidal Malik Hasan ?

It should be all over the news!

They both killed innocent people because of their religion/ideology!

I'm sick of hearing them referred to as radical muslims.

They are just muslims following out what the qur'an teaches!

Was John Allen Muhammad ever a body guard for Malik Zulu Shabazz?
