The President said that he didn’t think the question over the appropriateness of possible jail time is the “biggest question” the House and Senate are facing right now.

Unless you are the one in Jail for not having insurance...

Curious he should use the phrase “free ride” considering he’s been on one his whole life.

Questions not asked to Buttcrack.

“You mentioned that people of the US should have the same health care plan that congress has. Why is this bill so different and draconian than what you had as a Senators?

“Why has congress not included them in this far sweeping plan? If the bill isn’t good enough for congress to abide by, why is it good enough for the people of the United States?

It becomes more and more apparent to me that our national economy is based on slavery. Such has been true more a great many human societies over thousands of years. America was established, in large part, in an effort to find a new way of structuring a national economy -- basing our social contract on freedom and personal responsibility.

Today, the government has a gun to my head and hisses, "If you don't pay for the support of others, people are going to die in the streets. You don't want people dying in the streets, do you Punk?"

That's the sign of a slave-based economy.

How many free ride illegals that we pay for are going to be jailed. Wow. This might be away to get them to leave! ( Not holding breath.)

Obama has had a free ride all his life. He also will soon have a free ride right on out of office. How dare a president of the USA threaten a free people?

Now the fascist face of Obama is being revealed, and people say, "nah, it couldn't happen here!" HOw do YOU like him now, eh?

Its appropriate that Obama be impeached. Its time to stop the president from giving his toadies a free ride on everyone else.

APPROPRIATE INDEED.

And Mr. Prez, everybody does NOT have to buy car insurance. Our cities are full of millions who don’t drive.

So we can expect a new School lunch program insurance, Food stamp insurance and Rent subsidy insurance bill?

That still leaves a clothing insurance program pending?

But he finds nothing wrong with deducting 20% from working Americans pay checks to pay for all those who will get insurance free...

And that premium is not based on level of coverage - whether you, because of a higher paycheck, pay a much higher chunk that someone with a less paying job - you both get the same coverage.

And the red herring about equating in with auto insurance - it is NOT the federal gov’t who forces auto insurance on us or decides what the cost will be or takes it from our paychecks - AND we are NOT required to have auto insurance on ourselves or our vehicles - only liability to protect those we may cause damage to.

Whole different ball of wax. Obummer knows it - it's just his blatant disdain for the intelligence of the American people - which, in a great percentage of cases, is, I guess, justified. After all, the people elected HIM, didn't they?

Obama doesn't (again) know what he's talking about. Same with Pelosi.

First of all, this bill should not pass the Senate, but if it does.......it can never be implemented. And in certain areas of the USA if they attempt to press any kind of jail time (LOL), they won't have the available room to jail anyone.

Damn! I totally missed the brilliance of the Federal Health Care Bill.

ergo: Any person who does not have Medicare, Medicaid, Employer or private insurance will not dare try to get medical treatment. They will either self-medicate and get better OR get worse and die.

Persons too dumb to figure this out will go to jail and be billed for room & board & jailhouse health care.

Problem solved.

Couple of things to watch, IMO..

- Will there be a “National Healthcare Card” emerge as the means for providing proof of insurance? May not be a card, but you can bet your tookus there will be a database.

- Who will get exceptions and get free “public option” from Uncle Sugar? Illegals? Unemployed? Welfare? SEIU? This will determine how much wealth is transferred and how big the permanent Dem constituency becomes.

Good question. Someone needs to check the 2000 page monstrosity and see if that is covered. Seems like if there is no exemption for them, that would be some kind of state/religion thing.

The President said that he didn’t think the question over the appropriateness of possible jail time is the “biggest question” the House and Senate are facing right now.

The Great (Clueless) Uniter (GCU) Strikes again. This goes so far afield into implicit civil rights it should boggle the brain of any citizen who is not a "neighborhood activist."

This is a fundamental question about the role of government. Unless we deal with the Neofascists on the violations of "inconsequential" individual rights issues we can expect a lot more of them.

The "Great United" has no idea where he's going with this.

Are the homeless all headed for jail?
What happens after the first 5 years in jail? If they still can't afford it, do they go back for another five years?

Wait.
These unconstitutional proposal applies only to people with a job who pay income taxes? I shoulda seen that coming.

OK let's look at the crystal ball...

Five years in jail for choosing dangerous recreation forms:

Scuba diving
rock climbing
motorcycle riding
contact sports
Surfing
Skiing
Snowboarding
wind sailing
sky diving
flying for "fun"
sailplaning
mountain climbing
rock climbingPlease feel free to add to this list.

What are the means of policing the new criminals?
A new brown-shirted 300,000 member "Activities Police?"

"Not the biggest question?"

I suppose to an idiot who wants to bring tribalism African politics to the greatest nation on earth, that makes a perverse sort of sense.
