It starts in Michigan.
Our good buddy Josh Painter over at the Texas for Salin Palin blog, a must-bookmark for SP fans, has assembled the schedule for the ex-gov's upcoming book sales/autographing tour and we have some of it below.
You'll note that the tour starts in Michigan. Get it? Oh, c'mon, sure you do!
Longtime Ticket readers will recall it was the stumbling McCain campaign's decision to, in effect, forfeit Michigan to the Obama Democrats a year ago and stop campaigning there.
Which caused McCain's Republican pitbull partner to grumble about giving up anywhere so easily.
Which caused those brave McCain staffers to anonymously leak their own grumblings that Palin was "going rogue."
Which provided the rebounding political celebrity with her best-selling book title -- "Going Rogue: An American Life" -- which so far has 1.5 million copies in print.
And that's before the Oprah show on Nov. 16. There'll be a five-part interview with....
...Barbara Walters on ABC. No doubt a bunch of Fox folks. Probably won't have any time to squeeze in a chat with that late-night CBS guy who made the sex joke about Palin's underage daughter.
Palin's got 13 stops booked before Thanksgiving, a break, and then back on the road to drive those crucial holiday sales.
Palin will focus on numerous smaller cities (yes, Iowa's Sioux City is in there), many of them past successful campaign stops. She'll see the troops at one Ft. Bragg event in North Carolina. And she'll even pack them into a Pennsylvania Sam's Club.
Of course, Minneapolis' massive Mall of America is on the schedule. That's near the Republican National Convention site where, despite a faltering teleprompter, Palin gave a flawless debut....

I am surprised she’s not going to Ann Arbor! :P
IF she did go to "A Squared" I'd buy her a Falafel @ the Jerusalem Garden by the Library oh man those are good!
Looking forward to seeing the crowds! Too bad she’s not stopping by Central, Illinois.
I’ll be interested to see if any lefty trouble makers show up. No doubt some of them will try to get her to sign “Going Rouge”.

Birmingham, AL crowd will be gigantic. My hometown, hmmm...maybe I could swing up there. Closer to JAX though. I’d love to check out her book tour.
Cheers!
I know it’s the LA Times, but I couldn’t resist watching Sarah’s Convention speech again. Reminds me of why we love her.
Cheers!
I think America was awestruck during that speech. She was actually brilliant. She is a master at sarcasm. She can attack and it probably takes the target five minutes to realize they have been dissed. The people get it though.
You have to get there at 6am in Roanoke.
I guess that’s why they decided to skip Atlanta,
no way to handle the crowds.

I am glad she is not going to the big cities — they are controlled and destroyed by her opposition.
Big city MSM will pick her up but she will be out with those of us who still (hopefully) have jobs, homes, families and pay our taxes and theirs.
How come not Cleveland?
She will also be at the Borders in Springfield, MO around the time of her address at College of the Ozarks Dec. 2 (Branson area). Have not heard time.
Darn, none of those places is anywhere close to us (Connecticut)... hope she adds more cities.
Is this Texas Painter, by any chance, related to Sheriff Painter from Midland, Texas?
He (Sheriff Painter) is a good man..
I would hope that she would have come to the eastern part of Pa., too.
However, Washington, Pa., in the Pittsburgh suburbs, is a good choice. It is also not that far from Somerset and the site of Flight 93 heroes who died that dreadful day. I would not be at all surprised if she made a trip to that site during the book tour.
bump
